You know I didn't wanna go there ,but since you brought it up isn't that the rumor going on in England? Lewis lost it to appease Ferrari . I heard it from a few people on the BBC-5 Fast Five F1 podcasts.
Well, the British media would def. jump on any such opportunity, but for sure, Brazil was crazy^nth perfect, whether a setup or not. If the situation was reversed and F lost like that ... bloody murder.
Steve I believe the wheel in post 17 is the correct one from the MP4- 22. Either way whether he did it on purpose or his finger slipped by mistake , I believe he lost the championship in China when he went for the win. Someone should have told him to slow down and look at the big picture. I don't know , this whole season stinks and I can't wait till Melbourne next year; 22 weeks and counting. Cheers.
Nick From what I have seen I'am not sure he did push a few buttons after trying to up-shift coming out of the left corner where the problems begin whether or not he had problems before this I dont no the feed I was watching cut to the adverts then next thing he was at the back.. Despite people saying Ferrari deserved to win IMO it's plain as daylight, the WDC was Hamilton's and it took a miracle in the form of brain-dead strategies and miracle gearbox glitches to take it away from him. Still it's a very healthy sign that so many people hate him already... that simply means he's a threat
ROTFLOL Perhaps the thought that Lewis was driving a Ferrari crossed his mind on the track and he pushed the wrong button. He'll really be confused if Jenson (Button) is on the McL team. If a Ferrari driver did this would any Tifosi not be calling for his head on a silver platter? (It must be silver. McLs colors...)
There are much better and undetectable ways of losing a race and positions than jambing your fingers into the steering wheel. That's just rumor and tin foil theory.
Agreed. For the record I had my money on Hamilton (I know I know) and I think he's a great talent. Oh well there's alwalys next year.
I think that maybe he tried to play with the traction control, but pressed the wrong button. From the video his finger kinda covers both buttons.
+1 I think the notion that Hamilton intentionally slipped into neutral to lose the WDC is ridiculous.
Just wait until they change the software to Microsoft. If it uses Vista, then 60% of the cars will crash on the first turn and the rest will require to be rebooted every 5 laps But the drivers will be able to surf the web while they are refueling!
Wouldn't it have been easier and a lot less obvious to just slow down a little (if you buy into the idea that he WANTED to lose the championship)? Of course, everybody here in Texas trusts the BBC implicitly for all of our world news.
