    Hi :)

I was thinking I'd love to put a Maggiolina tent atop a 348 and just drive that across the globe forever :D

    I came across this thread:
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/roof-rack-options.567811/

I wonder if the 348 TB top can take the weight safely provided that you place the suction cups as much towards the side edges as possible. These tents have a hard shell so the weight would be evenly distributed, but still it's like 40 pounds on each of the 4 suction cups. Use 3 cross bars maybe?

Or maybe go for a 348 TS, then I can make a tent that replaces the targa top altogether. That is procure the tent and an extra targa top and fasten them together permanently. Then the concern would be on the car attachment points.

    Thoughts? :D

I guess Porsches are sturdier. I've seen quite a few pictures with a tent on top. I think its more common than on Ferraris because the 911 is suitable for off road use if you lift it and use adequate tires.
