Has the internet been acting up?

Yesterday i noticed the internet was slower than normal, and some pages (ie. yahoo) wouldnt load at all. At first i thought it was just my connection, but everyone on my network is having the same problems. Is anyone else having problems like this? One of my friends said it was froma new worm, but i didnt hear anything on the news or on this site about one.
