This is good becaus ethe car is sucking in both department
This is bad because Binotto still hasn't figured out that the main problem are the strategie team! i hope he finds out before he's the one to get sacked!

Honestly the firings might not really help the team and actually make the team morale even lower. Assuming they're good engineers, they shouldn't be penalized for trying something radical. There's a chance they might end up at Mercedes, further helping Mercedes one-up the Scuderia.

An unfortunate knee-jerk scapegoat type scenario.

Ferrari team operations is a big mess and we thought it couldn't go any worse than 17-18.

    You got it !!

This is exactly what happens all the time.

Shall we say it's very Italian and theatrical that method of management?

I do hope they've spend time finding replacements before sacking them.

Would you keep on working for a company that wants to sack you?
Would you give them some breathing space to find your replacement?

You don't think it's conceivable for Ferrari to have started looking for replacements in recent weeks/months?

It may well be. With their revolving door staff Policy, Ferrari must be scouting for new talents all the time !!
I suppose also there is always a queue of innocent new graduates attracted by a job at Ferrari, plus other experienced engineers to poach from other teams.

All I know is that it doesn't make sense to keep on working for an employer who hinted he wants to get rid of you.

Its unfortunate. Usually this just justifies an organization not changing because they’re blaming everything on the ones who got fired and not really focusing on the real core problems.

These people still at Ferrari F1 are from the Arrivabene era....maybe further.

Binotto is creating a slow blood bath to get people in place for 2020.

2020 will be his baby and he will take full blame for it.

Binotto is the more technical of the other 2 in this hybrid formula.

I hope so, and i hope they have already found someone to replace Jock Clear and Inaki Rueda because those 2 are completly useless...

Let's wait 2020 for another episode of the Ferrari saga with a different cast perhaps !!!

It's like a Greek tragedy set in Maranello with betrayals, treachery and bloodbath, and also a little bit of F1 in the middle.

Is it the way to run a racing team?

No, but it's been like this in the past....sad to say.

Long term--> I say move the whole F1 team to Great Britain where it can gain a collaborative set of minds instead of the all "Italian" approach.

I don't think we need the team to move to GB. We need a couple of smart heads to work in Italy instead. It's worked before.

In the current socio-political conjuncture, it may prove difficult to bring essential staff from outside Italy like it happened before.

Hard to get and keep talented people in Italy, along with their families. We've seen good people come and go.

HAAS has moved to GB yet it is not all American. Honda has moved to GB yet it is not all Japanese. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a full works team from Honda once the engine dept performance is solid in GB.

What makes you think they would plan that far ahead when they can't get a basic pit strategy right

I hope Binotto proves me wrong. I have faith in him due to his technicality in F1 and him firing people or moving people around currently.

He's dealing with an already "broke" system that was handed to him. It's not an overnight fix. We've got good to very good drivers. I give him 2 yrs after 2019.
