Anyone know where I would be able to find a rebuild kit for the headlamp motors for my 456. They were getting stuck. We opened up the motors greased them up but now they’re dancing. Changed the relays with no benefit. Mechanic feels like the internal components are worn.

i do not believe such a kit exists. However these mechanisms are very straightforward and there are several posts on here with pictures on doing a cleanup of the rotating sliding contact mechanism which controls the motion. You need someone who understands the circuit and can troubleshoot it properly.

Did you grease the motors or the gearboxes? The gearbox parts get corroded and sometimes the spring-loaded fingers break.

As Ron says, you have to clean up the disk and contact points. There are also diodes embedded in the outer rubber coating which fail, but I think if they fail, you get no motion at all (at least in one direction).
