    I do not doubt that at all. Even in the (poor) copy of the Owner's manual that I have for the M-series, the illustration of the dashboard shows the two Defrost signs just as you show in the photo. So, no doubt many left the factory with that layout.

    I was only saying that it was misleading and incorrect from the viewpoint of how the system was designed. The left lever is just a fresh air intake valve and should have been marked as such. The label with the "0" on top is closer to the truth, and more useful for an owner trying to figure out how to use the system.

    From the historical point of view and for Concours judging, both layouts should be considered correct, I believe.

    I do agree... unfortunately with Ferrari very little is logical... :)
