heavy clutch- any solution?

When I bled my clutch a few months back, I found a lot of air bubbles and the fluid was almost black in color with impurities. After the bleed, it made a massive improvement to the clutch pedal effort.

When I bled the brakes only earlier this year, there weren't any bubbles and very little dirt in the brake line. I guess the previous owner must have been bleeding the brakes occasionally but never did the clutch.

The way I see it, this is a cheap way to eliminate one possibility - all you need is a couple quarts of brake fluid. Just try it first before taking apart the clutch and everything.
