I've got a 79' 308 gts and I broke my brake fluid reservoir...does anyone have one laying around. I've put a call into Daniel at Ricambi and he's looking but I am already getting nervous; it looks like new ones do not exist anymore.

So, yeah, I'm responding 18 years too late, but thought I would revive a thread rather than start a new one, as people are likely to still be looking for reservoirs.

Anyway, when removing my brake fluid reservoir, which I had removed and stressed a bit a year ago when replacing the MC, I managed to fully crack it this time.
As NOS ones seem to be pretty thin on the ground, I measured up the MC and original reservoir and found the center to center dimension of the 'spigots' are 85mm, which is shared with a number of euro cars. So a few minutes of image sleuthing offered up one I decided to try: VW type 2 (bus), EMPI PN 98-1694. Note it needs to be type 2, not type 1 (beetle) to have the correct, thinner bottom spigots. The material on the VW part looks thinner, so this one might not survive the removal process, but at just under $25, delivered from Amazon, I'll give it a try.
