Just passed 20k miles in my 08 pre-oto. Man I love driving this car.
congrats on a car thats now worthless, dont you know ferraris were made to sit in the garage and just receive daily handwashes, they weren't made to be driven
Just drive the next 20k in reverse if you want to sell it to static collector down the line... Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm in the buying process for a 599 and I'm wavering over a car with 21k miles. Simply because I know I want to drive it and be the one to put miles on it. I'm considering holding for a car with 10k miles. Daft?
That’s preposterous. Just buy the one that says take ME home, drive it and don’t look back.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's basically how I ended up with my car. The interior color with the Daytona seats, all leather dash, one owner car with every piece of paper including build photos. I HAD to buy it!
Actually if you are thinking of driving it and putting on significant miles, logically you would be better off buying a higher mileage car. The other day a dealer told me that my 612 (that was about to turn 20K miles) was going to take a significant depreciation hit when it hit 20K miles because everybody wants “low” mileage (ie. Under 20). So if you are going to depreciate it with mileage why not buy it after 20K and let someone else take the initial depreciation hit. However, irrespective of all that, I agree with MRY. You should buy the one that appeals to you. That is what I did and I actually found one with “low” mileage. But I bought it because it was the color and had the interior I wanted. So I went against my own theory since I too intend to drive it, but at the end of the day wasting a little money and getting what you want is never bad.
Aloha George, I am contemplating a 08 599 that has less than 10K. Is there anyway I could talk to you about your experiences with your 599? My email is [email protected]
