when i first bought my 360 modena i noticed that the horn sounded like a ford or buick i also like the sound of a 355 air horn. you can buy a 355 air horn from ferrari for about $100 (yeah, i was shocked thet they didn't want to charge more than that). i wanted it to be installed in a professional manner so i took my car to premier motorsport in los angeles. they did a real nice job

 

I had actually never heard a Ferrari horn before I convinced my father to buy a 355, and the first time he used it I almost laughed! I had never heard anything like it. I thought, "here we are in this powerful sports car, and it's got the wimpiest horn I've ever heard in my life." BUT, I love it. It's so distinctive and great, and I started liking it immediately. Switching the 360 Modena horn was a great idea - haven't heard it, but you guys say it's different? The 355 horn was definitely cool.

The horn on the Testarossa is so cool... Everytime i'm at Bruce's house, i have to beep it... The neighbors get antsy, then Bruce beats me with a tire swing in the fornt yard... It's worth it, though...

you can fairly easily replace the "ford-like" horn on your 360 with a real ferrari 355 air horn relatively inexpensively. the horn itself costs about $100. i had premier motorsport in los angeles buy the horn and install it for about $250 i have two 360's so i replaced the horn in both of them. naturally, i don't believe that i've had a reason to honk my horn ever since! but i'm ready when the time comes

 

Just about all the Miata guys put air horns on their cars. There is a place called Crazy Red Italian that sells a kit that is popular, I have the Hella's on my Miata. Check www.miata.net and go to market place, most vendors there sell the generic kits.
