How long is your commute?

For the next six weeks. 5.5 hours there and 6.5 hours back

 

wait, do you do that everyday? or is just how long it would take for you to get home?

 

Sunday Red eye LA to NY=5.5 hours
Thursday night NY to LA=6.5

All the way from my bed to the kitchen. Retirement is hell. But so is old age

 

2.1 kilometres, each way.

 

30 minutes and one international border.

 

1 minute/ 30 seconds, plus the elevator rides.

 

A friend of mine was commuting about an hour each way and listened to audio books to pass the time. I was a great way to get through a lot of books he wouldn't otherwise have time for.

My commute right now is ~15 mins door to door which isn't too bad. When I was in San Antonio my commute was slightly less than one mile.... it was nice being able to run home for lunch.

 

I do that on my iPod. It's a great way to pass the time while looking for unblocked ip addresses

 

about 10-15 minutes to get to my school.

 

For me, it's a six second walk in my bath robe and fuzzy slippers from the master bedroom to my office.....Ya, I suck, hu!

 

3 1/2 miles, about ten minutes.

 

Mine is about 40-45 min in the morning and 60-70 min at night. Right now I don't mind it, but I have only been doing it for about 2 months. It might be more difficult if I had kids and a family though.

 

3 miles....anywhere from 6 minutes to 30. Depends on the day and time.

45 minutes door to door, by bus & subway; or 20 minutes by car. The distance is short, but keep in mind, I'm in the city.

 

16.2 miles from door to classroom. Usually takes 40-50 mins. If its a business holiday 22 mins.

If i leave school by 230 i can get home in 25 mins. After 3pm, 1 hour minimum.

 

Apx. Two miles, but it's usually 30min "chair to chair" no matter how I do it:
Drive and hunt for parking space = walk = wait for bus and walk a bit

All three of the above are faster than paying for a space the available lot, which then requires a 15min walk or a similar wait for a shuttle.

 

Usually 25 minutes. Less if my right foot is feeling a little heavy.

 

about 12 miles, and about 20-25 minutes. Luckily I am driving opposite the flow of traffic.

 

32 miles each direction plus a 10 hour work day. Depending on traffic I can do it anywhere from 35 minutes (what,me speed?) to one hour 15 minutes, each direction......

When I was at FoDallas I used to leave the house at 6:15 so I could open the store at 8am, close at 7pm and get home about 8:30/9:00pm six days a week. Did that for three years. But again, I was working at FoDallas. It made a difference.........

 

I'm lucky in that I work an off schedule compared to most so I typically head into the office around 11am or so. 9 miles, about 12 minutes or so.

Night commute is usually 10 minutes or less - not much traffic around 9pm.
