Does any one know the production numbers for the 2cam longnose/torque tube alloy cars? Or better yet, the same cars but with 6 carbs?

According to the sources I have, s/n 08305 is mentioned as the first 275 GTB fitted with a torque tube.

275 GTB longnose torque tube alloy 3 carb:

    08311
    08343
    08497
    08841

275 GTB longnose torque tube alloy 6 carb:

    08691
    08749
    08859
    08891
    08901

Not included in those numbers are the 275 Competizione and 275 GTB/C models.
I am sure Marcel Massini can give you more detailed information on this subject.

8841 isn't alloy. It is now in England and was restored by Bob Houghton Ltd. Steel bodied. Photos available to anyone who sends me a PM.

15 of them. I think one is still for sale in Hemmings. I notice an alloy 2 cam comp car is for sale in the FML letter (euro-classics.com). Looks like a perfect car however, do not sneeze too hard around this one or you might dent it....

When I lived in Rochester, NY, a fellow had an alloy 275 long nose 3-carb that he found in Buffalo - paid $6,500.
The interesting thing is that it had an open driveshaft but instead of the typical shaft clamps, it had an open CV joint at each end of the shaft.

In the mid 70s, the car was sold to FAF - around $12,000 as I recall. It was originally silver but then refinished in burgundy. Anyone know the car?

    Comments????

1 of 27 of this type as per Cavallino #9. Michael Sheehan also has some good 275 info in his website under articles. Always interesting writing style.
