It's amusing at times, when 'one time' posters ask a "help question" on their first post then disappear, never to be heard of, until post #2, 5 years later.

Back to the original question, my guess is between 5 / 15% less than built, out of 4,000+ cars? That number, is not exactly an exclusive quantity...and my guess is inconsequential,
same as is the number of surviving Dino. Strictly a guessing game.

How many FIAT Dino spider / coupe, were built? survivors?
Probably even less proportionately, as at a moment they were the 250 GTE of the day, yummy engine(s), thus derelict car.

Daytona, what? 1200 +? Still a lot of cars. How many are there around?

Nobody will separate Daytona drive trains unless need spares for 'authentic' racers.
Never seen a Daytona shell on offer.

For instance, the one I recently found in Milano, an E series GT, no-one knew of its physical existance,
and possibly 20 people know of it, 18 if you knock the seller and present buyer, and nobody is talking.

The way I see it, only the 'gifted' speak on Dino chassis numbers specifically, due to their

achievements in life. No one is going to refer to Dino #01104, what for?

Unlike a car such as #0490M, that all 'cognoscenti' know what it is. I certainly did not, had to look it up

Well put, Alberto.

Slightly off topic (sorry), but I also find "the guessing games" for values of older (vintage?) cars even more ridiculous. Especially, when "the market analysis" aim to include "high bids" of no-sales(!?!) at auctions and/or ASKING price of any example available anywhere, past or present.

Perhaps it's due to lacking a degree in finance or higher education in general, but I always thought the real value of anything is established only with an actual transaction between buyer & seller or just because someone has an ASKING price for something, it doesn't mean its worth that.
Then again, there are a lot of other things also in life I fail to understand, no matter how much logic I try to apply.
