Just wondering today how many of you have removed your ariel from the rear quarter on your 328? I spotted a car at a recent show and have to say it looks much cleaner! Mind it would only be a job to consider if you needed to paint the rear quarter?

    Any thoughts/opinions?

Easy enough to do for any decent body shop, but might actually impact resale if you care about that. Personally, I need the music :D

Something to consider for those using XM radio. XM also eliminates any ignition noise problems.

i once posited removing that so-called aerofoil between the buttresses.

don't you know that went over real big. too daring i guess.

Been there, done that. That's why I don't think the antenna delete will be that big a deal, it's just filling a hole.

There was a non-period, non-correct, non-functional radio and antenna install in my 330 2+2 when I got it.

I covered the antenna hole with a counter-top hole plate from Home Depot. $2 or so, nylon plastic with chromed top plate,

approx. 1 1/2" in diameter, with a rubber gasket.

It was paintable but I used it as it came. Just put the screw shaft thru the hole and tighten anchor flange from below.

No damage, quick, innocuous, and presentable. I'd intended replacing it with something better quality, but...RIP s/n 5409.

Same thing should work for a 308 if you want a quick and cheap interim solution.
