I know I've helped some of you make a copy of your existing remote fob to have an extra or two, but I'm curious how many guys are out there that have their PIN but are missing fobs from the set.

If you could add a fob or two and still have them sync like the factory set, is there any interest?

The clones have the issue where if you use one, you have to press the button on the other multiple times to catch the rolling code. If someone only has one fob and no pin, I don't see this as a big deal if you just put the extra in a drawer should your only fob be lost. It's cheap insurance against what could be a really expensive problem. But it does have the rolling code issue.

I now know how to add an extra fob or two to a working set (where someone has their PIN) and maintain the factory sync. Does being able to do this interest anyone or are most of the cloning situations where the existing PIN isn't known?

Interesting...I had a clone made from you as I only had one remote, but I do believe I have the PIN in with the car manual (how that stays but the two other remotes got lost is beyond me, but I bet there are others on here that also have the paperwork with their manual pouch but only one fob!)

If you have the pin we can get you to the factory syncing result. Let's talk. I'm actually sitting close to your office in NYC right now but maybe we can discuss when I get home tomorrow.

It's a piece of paper that looks like the ones where you get a pin for your bank card.

Are you in a situation where you paid for the PIN but got a number back that didn't work? I assume you've gone through the document that Taz put together on fobs and pins?

That's my situation. I've gone through the procedure outlined in the factory manual, but no luck.

    Gobble,

What determines how many times you may need to push the button? Number of starts with the other fob or just time? Something else? Just curious.

I do have a clone, but use it rarely keeping it mostly in the event of emergency. Every once in a while, I calibrate it, but it's not a priority since it serves it's purpose, thank you gobble.

Has anyone on this board had a full kit installed; if so, we're any challenges encountered?

I ask as I do not have the original PIN, I checked with a Ferrari shop here in Orange County and was offered a full kit remotes and new unit installed for about 2k. This is why I went for a fob clone, but I am thinking of moving forward this summer unless something else comes up.

I'm thinking you could pay the $500 and get your pin from Ferrari then I could convert your existing remotes to a matched set plus add a third for not much money.

That is awesome! I would like a known person like yourself to figure out how to disable the immobilizer electronically like that one thread talked about a few weeks back. Then you would be the 1 stop shopping place for everything immobilizer related.

I think the guy doing that is pretty well known in the Porsche world so it's probably a safe resource. I heard he wants $875 though so you're halfway to a compete new set of fobs and ECU.

Don't you think the market of people willing to drill out the rivets holding the immobilizer in the car and ship it off somewhere is limited? Maybe I'm off but I'd think there might be 3 guys on this board willing to dig it out and take the risk of shipping it.

Believe it or not... I have an extra set of immobilizer boxes. No fobs for them though. They came on a wire loom I bought from Ferr Parts.

If that might help in some way let me know.

I would LOVE to bypass the alarm system completely.
