Bought my 308 GTSi in October of 1989. Thought about selling it an getting a 430, but spent a good sum on getting it just right and love to drive it. Also, I realized at my age I just don't like all of the electronics on the newer cars. I need the clutch pedal and a shift lever sticking out of the floor to be happy. If I ever do by another Ferrari I will keep the 308.

Had my 308 QV for a year this month. Its my first and only. If I ever sell it its going to be because of something very serious...

Having said that, I still own the first car I ever bought - my 1989 Pontiac Trans Am. My wife has instructions to bury me in that car (or the Ferrari). It has been with me a long time and has always been a faithful car - even though many would think otherwise of an American built car.

This is great, for me owning my first will be a lifelong dream come true, and I can't picture myself ever selling it. I will be giving it to someone in my family in the end.

Have had my 328 for 7.5 yrs. Very happy with it but there's always temptation to upgrade.

I think that's a great idea. Pass it down through the family. They can always say this is the very first Ferrari your father/ grandfather bought.

I was quite attached to my first F car. I kept it for a month.

I suppose it would be the right thing to do to eventually sell mine but more than likely end up keeping it the way the market is now, just not worth it to let it go so cheap better to keep it and buy another one :)

I totally agree with you. It's better to keep it and add another. The problem eventually, among others. is garage space. Will need to get a bigger garage.

I do, but I don't think I count because I am only 2 years into ownership....but for the record, I plan on keeping this forever and adding to the stable.

I had a FIAT 850 Spider for two weeks!! LOL!

It was back in the mid 70s and parts were a real challenge, before Al Gore invented the Internet......

The first is our 4-cam. Have owned 10 years at this point.

Second: maybe not owned that long compared to others, but seven years this month on our 550 Maranello.

Our only regreat is both are used it too seldom.

And yes, still own both the 1967 and the 1998.

Our rule with friends here is "Never resell a 328!".
I hope to follow this rule for many many years ...

Still own my first a 328 I bought in 86 and added to it with a 430 spider with a stick I bought in 08. I enjoy both; they are completely different cars and both a pleasure to drive!

    BigTex,

Yeah the F1 and Tom didn't get along. Tom's left foot got lonely. Mind you, I can see keeping my current F430 six speed a looong time (and for Tom, that means, oh, like 9 months).

Bought my first Ferrari, a 1972 365GTC/4 in 1976...still own it today. Added to it, another Ferrari, in 1978...then again another in 1981 (this car I sold in 2005).... and have since added an additional 3 F cars to the "Fleet". If you did the math correctly, that now leaves me with 5 F cars to date in my garage. Oh, and by the way, I still own the car I bought in 1978, also!!!
