How old were you when you bought your first Ferrari?

I'm a dot commer. Running my own company since 2000-2001.

 

I was 23 when I took the plunge.
I did it again at age 26.

 

I was older than most all you guys when I bought my 308, but I’m a lot younger now. That Ferrari mystique stuff really works.

 

I was 26 when I bought my 308gts & I was 28 when I bought my 348. I will be 29 in Dec.

 

Ehhh.. judging by the average here I guess I've still got a looooong way to go. Even more so as Central Europe doesn't seem to be the quickest area in which one can afford an Fcar. Its nearly driving me crazy everyday already, at 22 (got the Ferrari fever when I was 6)... brings a tear to my eye ;(

Let me give you the setting first.
I lived in a rental house in beautiful Stockton Ca that was $600 a month.
I was working full time in a local Car Audio shop for $4K a month.
Not married, no kids, and I bought a 78 308 GTS with missing smog equipment for $25K. I was 20 years old, and still miss things about that car, and the pure simplicity of my life in those days.

 

My goal is at least one F-car by the time I'm 30, i'm 20 right now. Should be able to pick up a 430 for MSRP by then right?

 

355F1 at 28... didn't even think about it until 25/26. Set goal, worked butt off.

I was 27 when I bought both, and have spent the last 7 years spending the price of a third Ferrari just maintaining these two.

 

I know that feeling...

well, I"m obviously outclassed, but all things considered, I feel very fortunate for the boxster @ 24.

I'm 26 now. I think i'm going to stay levereged for a while, and maybe 30 will cash in for the Fcar I want. (and hopefully I"ll be able to afford to drive it too.)
