    My first, was a 410SA and YES !!.... I liked it.☺

The Lampredi 4.9 with an insistent growl pulled like a train, strong bottom end and it kept getting better, as the revs rose and it started to howl.

Def better at going than stopping.

Don't remember how old I was, but it was a long, long time ago.

I was 9 years old, and my father let me back up the 308. He put it in reverse, and I just held the clutch pedal, if it made funny noises I would push it in. This was Circa 1994.

I was 21 years old. It was a 330GT. I had just bought the car( and then was allowed to drive it). Back then in Kansas City there were very few cars around, and they did not just let you "test drive". I had ridden in this same car several years before so I knew I would be very happy

I was 31 and rented a 99 360 gated 6spd. I was absolutely terrified that I'm taking this car home for 4 days. About $3500 after all was said and done, but I figured if I could never afford to own one of these machines, I at the very least was going to experience one like I never dreamed I would.

My parents garage was full of junk and they laughed their butts off when they saw how clean and 'clear' I got that garage. Absolutely nothing was going to touch or have a chance to fall on this car! You would have thought I just bought this thing.

I think after I brought it back I could smell the suede for some 2 weeks after, it was crazy!!! Now I'm on track to own one some 10 yrs later.

    46. Waited 30 years and could not have picked worse conditions for my first drive in my dream car. Flew in from Florida to Seattle and had just planned on looking at it (308 GTS QV). 20 minute test drive, at night, rainy and windy. Afterward the owner said to leave my rental car at his house and take the 308 for the weekend. How could I refuse? I was hooked and bought the car at the end of the weekend. That was 3-1/2 years ago and I still have it!

The first f car my dad drove was my scud, he was 87 at this time. His comment when he hit 100mph is that he had not driven this fast on the ground since ww2 when taking off or landing a B26.

26 years old, red 1984 308 QV. My 1994 RX7 (with my wife driving) ran circles around it. It was embarrassing actually...

A relative of mine, who sometimes comes on F-Chat (his handle is Be Like Mike) has a 328 (he is on his second one). I was 35 years old when I drove it in 1995. I was hooked and bought a 355 a year or so later.

I swear this is true...my first time driving a Ferrari was at 59 years and 10 months. I had been saving for several years for a completely outrageous car. Our other cars are paid off, and my life in general has wildly exceeded any rightful expectations (especially because of my wife, as you will read in a moment).

Shortly before my 60th birthday, the second of two colleagues my age passed away suddenly. My wife walked in a couple days later, dropped an ad for an Aston Martin on my lap, and said "if you die without having done this, I'll never forgive myself. Go ahead; do it". She knew I'd never spend that much on my own, and that if I had to convince her, I'd feel badly (at least a little). I told her the AM was great (I had said for 20 years I was going to get one) but that I had a dream a few days earlier that I was going to buy a red Ferrari California (yes, that is also true). I rarely dream, but this one was clear; I was driving the car along the coast with the top down. I was scared to mention it to her in fear she would lock away the money.

Long story short, we went to Ferrari of San Diego, and sitting on the showroom was literally the car of my dream. Loaded, great condition, and we were treated very well by Fernando as I worked my way through the purchase. The spontaneous laughter for most of my first test drive confirmed what I would do.

I've had the car four months now, and each time I hit that start button, I smile. It truly is a car that brings its own entertainment. I have more than a thousand miles on it, but have yet to set the clock or radio. I'm sure the nav system and homelink would come in handy, but I also have yet to mess with them. I just enjoy the ride.

I have always been so practical, the car took most folks who know me by surprise. I'm sure they all thought I'd pay down my mortgage if I had extra cash. I know though, on my deathbed, I would not look back fondly to using the money to pay my home loan down a few years early. I will fondly recall the sound of my car and the feel of the acceleration as I watch those LED's light up on my steering wheel. It is still so unbelievable that I'll walk into the garage from time to time to ensure it is still there.

My wife even likes to ride with me, and loves to ask who waved at me or asked me about my car whenever I return from a spin. Her only worry was how to dispo the car if I croaked; once I assured her she could just list it on FChat, she was fine...

    Best Regards, Bob H

    40. 6 months ago, my S.I.L. bought a drive in a Ferrari at Firebird International Raceway. It was a 430 and it was freaking AWESOME...I'm still worked up about it. I have the best Sister-in-law in the universe. BTW, I also drove a Mclaren MC4-12 (or is it an MC12-4).

I was... still am 30. Two months ago, I drove a race ready F430 at the Las Vegas Speedway for Dream Racing. It was the best experience ever! I had purchased that very same experience for my brother's 24th birthday. We both had a blast on that track! I am now Ferrari forever!

I was 29 years old when I bought and drove a 1978 308 GTS. I remember paying for it and picking it up in downtown Calgary, July of 1993, on a beautiful summer afternoon, during our Calgary Stampede Week. It was rare to see a Ferrari in this city 20 years ago.....it was a memorable experience.

38... Just the week before this past Christmas... Not even there to look at a Ferrari, originally went to look at a Viper, didn't like it but a certain gated Nero F430 caught my eye and my salesman said the words that would forever change my life "You ever driven a Ferrari? Wanna go for a drive?"... I was hooked BAD! Like giving crack to a junkie! All my life into restoring rare Mopars and never knew what I was missing out on. Now I own that Nero gated F430 :)

    20. It was my father's '91 Testarossa. Fantastic car. It was a little too much for me to handle at that time, but no anymore :)
