Mine has been checked by a Ferrari mechanic as ok but I have serious doubts.

Can't speak to the 575 specifically, but the 550 has great AC when it's in proper working order. And for context, I live in Sacramento, which is like living on the surface of the sun during the summer.

Have an AC specialist change out the refrigerant and oil after changing the filter/receiver and vacuum evacuating the system. He can do a leak check for you, too. My compressor needed rebuilding after about 15 years of service. Hopefully yours does not. Mine blows very cold.

Terry, do you say the AC will blow colder if you change the AC compressor oil??

No, it will blow colder if it has the correct mix of refrigerant and oil and the system has been really well evacuated before filling. Ferrari actually recommends changing the filter/receiver and refrigerant every two years on 575Ms. A bit of overkill if you pull a good vacuum after changing the receiver and refilling.

Edit: found it. It looks like its PN 64894200, not the pollen filter PN 64241800? The associated pressure switch is PN 66374400. The manual:

My AC works 'ok' on a warm day. Some days it works better then others but if over 100, its not the best. Sounds like I need a proper service.

That said, my 456 is much better/colder so go figure.

This was a good thread on the compressor: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/575-air-con-compressor.634500/

Pollen filter is supposed to be changed every year but you can save the frame and buy filter material just about anywhere. They used to be cheap, but no longer.

There are tons of AC receivers/dryers/filters that fit fine with no yellow box tax.

I am trying to figure out if it’s beneficial to also change the pressure switch 66374400 at the same time. Going through 20 years of service hx, my dryer is over due and likely explains my feeble AC. Does someone have the 575 WSM that they could post copies of the AC system service instructions for the dyer? That should say it.

    575 AC Evaporator Service:
    • Vacuum Evacuate AC System (ideally overnight if possible)
    • Check AC Compressor for leaks (rebuild if needed)
    • Replace Receiver/Dryer (64894200) - if riveted, replace with threaded fastener for future service
    • Replace Pressure Switch (66374400) ??
    • Replace AC compressor oil/refrigerant (R134 charge: 1.68 lbs or 26-27 oz)
