... the stance with the 285/35R18 Pole Positions on OEM 360 starfish. It has been recommended that I have the rear wheel hubs milled thinner by 12-17mm to bring them in a bit. But the current look is pretty solid I think.

Havent had any rubbing issues, though I havent bottomed the suspension out yet, so cant say with absolute certainty there won't be. Loaded it up pretty far over some construction zone whoop-de-whoops today with no issue.

Second photo of stock 348 wheel with 255 section tire it came with for comparison.

Yep. My rears are not machined and sit nice and flush. Looks deadly.

From what I’ve read here, the later model 348s (which would include your Spider) have a different offset and do not require machining the 360 wheels. I think the offset is greater than the 12-15mm usually milled for the early cars.

General comment - if you title your posts to be clear on the subject it really helps the community; someone searching titles to find info on this subject would not see this thread as it doesn’t contain any related words such as “wheel,” “offset,” “machining,” “360,” etc., etc. Not a dig man, just a friendly observation from a stooge that searches more than posts!

Some like that look. Dont see it on cars these days let alone sports cars and can't say I see it on a Ferrari but some love it. Some like gold wheels some don't, some like 20in wheels some don't. Hey someone probably likes 20in gold wheels. It's why they make chocolate and vanilla.

If you like it, hey go for it.

Some folks like this below, it all depends what your doing and what you want. Hey why not! In this case below hes trying to do that. He nailed it, it part of the stance culture not my things but awesome. 348's with wheels that stick out are trying to say "I'm a sporty muscle car" perhaps. Hey why not!

I mean that has to be on air bags or something right? Like that car can't actually be driven like that, can it? Their car, their money, I guess, but I'd never do anything that actually hurt the performance of a car. Seems silly.

Yes its air bags alright. Even beyond that the tire choice is marginally useful.
Silly is subjective though, I mean some folks see this below and say silly, but is it really? Who's to say... its so subjective. Hey, one mans silly is another mans awesome. There is room for everyone. :)

I mean silly from an objective standpoint of spending money to make an awesome car work worse. Cletus there has actually improved the takeoff launch of his Chevelle there, at least, assuming his engine puts out enough power to necessitate that much rubber. Though you could have picked a more comparable image that keeps the width within the bounds of the overall width of the car (note how much further out the doors on my car are than the rear of the wheel arch.
