Follow the money. NASCAR pays the bills so little watched programming like F1 can also be shown and enjoyed. I also agree that the CART split and poor marketing have diminished a growing audience for F1. Even every NASCAR driver watched and wanted to win the INDY 500.

Buy a Tivo and stoping whining. I was about 5 years old when I realized that Gilligan's Island was on only when it was scheduled, not when I just so happened to turn on the tv.

There is no other channel I watch even half as much. In fact I hardly have enough time to watch all the worthwhile stuff they show.

I also loved it in the early days -- cars, boats, motorcycles and even airplanes!

These days, I rarely watch it. In fact, if it wasn't for "Victory by Design", I would never watch it.

I kinda liked the Lucas thing where they flipped those ol' junkers on the ramp. Using that as a leader to F1 racing is like drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon with a nice filet mignon.

    Now the real show begins!

And now that Bob has made his mark (see how his lady is drooling), could he possibly convince Fox to go HI DEF? Can you imagine a 16 x 9 ratio, HDTV format? Hell, give it to NASCAR too - I don't care - but give me F1 in HDTV, and I'll be quite happy!!

    Cheers, Hank

We get F1 races on another channel as well where I live, so Speed doesn't have the exclusive.

    Check, and mate!

when they trotted-out that old, shudda stayed retired or something, BOB JENKINS! I about died when Connie LeGrand announced a "new member " of their on-air staff. Jenkins is among the worse. I'm sure he's a nice guy off camera, but his on-air announcing is best used in chess tournaments. Provides no insight and merely reacts to what we are watching. Gawd! Why not bring back the guy that did RPM2Nite? Far more watchable.
