I really enjoy this site and realize that appreciation for it is minimal.

So I have decided to share recent experiences that brings out the good in what this site has to offer.

I am not here to bring out the sometime useless information that will fly around....I have the choice not see it or reply to it. I hope those of you who reply to this post do so in a postive manner since being positive ifs the point of this thead.

    Experience #1

I need resource and information relating to Scuderia Shields for my car. I post a thread "I need Shields". Within hours I get info from 5 Fchatters pointing me in the right direction. Although the source PauliB is out of them another F-chatter e-mails me and says "you can have mine !!!." He has not installed them because his car is in storage for the winter and he unselfishley sends them to me Via FedEX... Not extra cost, no bull S...just a gentleman dealing with a gentleman. THANK YOU Perry C.... aka:f355B You are a true gentleman!!! :)

Thank you PauliB for the effort and honesty.

Thank you Martin - Cavallino - for being your typical self. :)

    Experience #2

I see original floor mats are being offered on E-bay and on Ferrari ads. I need them for my car and wait out the auction because I want the seller and fellow F-chatter to get the most...hey I would want the most. I am high bidder on e-bay but I didn't meet the reserve. I contact seller and mention I am an F-chatter too and I want the mats. He responds and agrees that his asking price is kinda high and but says lets do a deal...you need them, I don't, make it fair. I agree..Fed-ex a check and the mats are on the way. THANK YOU Ron D.

    Experience # 3, # 4, #5, etc.

there are more experices like #1 and #2 and I hope most of you get the point. I am glad this resource is availbale.

I enjoy fchat and appreciate what it does. I want others to know. Thanks for looking.

Glad you are having a great experience. Everyone tries to put in thier honest opinions here. Though sometimes they might seem negative, they usually have some validity if you look into it. I have never really gotten off the wall answers here and if people here don't know, I have always gotten pointed in the direction to find the answer. Great group of people.

I completely agree with you. Sure we have some not so truthful people and spammers, but in general the site offers million times more good than bad.

I have great admiration for the people here, as I said in a thread a little while back:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34674

I have met some F chatters, and the generosity and kindness of Darth550 (dave), Chiaro_Slag (Jerry), and Sherpa23 (ryan), have really left me humbled.

I have had positive experiences with every F chatter, and the above 3 have really inspired me in positive ways, and I am indebted to them, and can't say enough about them.

I'll throw my two cents in as well. I am very happy I joined this forum. I'm not an owner...yet...but I am learning more about Ferraris on this site than I have from several other sources. The people of F-Chat are a great bunch and I look forward to spending countless hours here.

Thanks again to all for making F-Chat such a great experience and a great place to visit online!

So far so good. F-chat has been great compared to the other lame-o car sites I visit. A wealth of info and smart, fun posts to boot. Thanks F-chat.

    I'll drink to that.

Shortly after I joined, I posed a question about pre-paid legal insurance. Next thing I knew I was talking to a partner in one of the service provider firms. Someone I never would have been in contact with without FChat. (Thanks Frank. :) )

My sister appeared on Dave Letterman (one of those audience participation things.) I posted a question asking how to transfer the show to a DVD, if I didn't have the equipment. An Fchatter tivo'd the episode and burned it to DVD for me and wouldn't let me pay him for it. (Thanks Chris. :) )

Now, I try to "pay it forward" whenever I can. It's what makes this forum great.

I'm 16 and totally in love with anything Ferrari, I love how people here on this site appreciate that and will give me the time of day despite me only being a kid. For example, last week i told bumboola I liked his 360CS after seeing it on his avator on another thread and asked him if he would post some pics of it, not only did he do this but he emailed me some high res pics of his car. I must hand it to him and all you aother fine gentlemen out there on Fchat. And people think Ferrari owners are stuck up losers.?

P.S. I would love to meet some of you guys at the Limerock event or Tutto Italiano in Boston this summer.

I don't know how anyone could own (or more importantly own and actually drive) a 348 without this forum as a resource to figure out what has NOW gone wrong...

Hope I've helped some others with theirs, as well!!

    Cheers

I have to agree. For me, F-chat came first and the Ferrari followed.

I was kicking around the idea of buying a nice sports car and suddenly dabbled with the notion of buying an actual Ferrari. I got on F-chat, found a bunch of friendly guys and realized it wasn't just a car...but a fraternity of sorts. I even chatted with the Lawdog himself as well.

I was assigned a Big-Brother (Darth550, Dave) and he took me under his wing and proceeded to help me find the right car. A few lunches, some PPI's and almost ALMOST a speeding ticket later (while taking a test-drive...but we don't talk about that)...I own a beautiful 355 spider.

F-chat: huge resource, completes the experience of owning a Ferrari. Well...f-chat and that hot chick Dave bought for me...but we don't talk about that either ;)
