Public poll. I love Ferrari, but I love Formula 1 even more. I am not a fan of any specific team or driver, just a fan of great racing at the highest level. I can respect any team making progression, and the same goes for any driver. It would be the greatest shame in Formula 1 history if Ferrari were to leave, but I would still follow religiously. If other manufacturers started to follow suit, I could see myself not following anymore. I hope we never come to this......
Yes absolutely. Ferrari leaving F1 would be a disaster. That said, they're not going anywhere. We have this talk every year, just like Porsche entering F1. Neither is happening.
Ferrari leaves, I leave, end of. The rest are there purely to race against the greatest team ever, that's it. Ferrari isn't there, F1 becomes F-zero
It would be a great loss but F1 is greater than any single team. I wouldn't stop watching but F1 would probably lose 30% of its global audience overnight and 50% when all said and done. But imo Ferrari needs F1 just as much. Without F1 they are just another supercar mfr, and the cars would lose the capabilities they have today and lose the magic quality that makes them special.
BMW and Ferrari are what got my interest in F1 back in the 2000's. One is already gone , if Ferrari left, done.
Just another mediocre team leaving would not stop me watching As I Saïd somewhere else. I like Ferrari, I even own Some but as they do not show any loyalty to owners of their cars, why should I give them any loyalty
A few years ago I would've said the same still, but with these engine regs, idiotic aero and whatnot...not much keeping me to watch to be honest.
I would still be interested in F1 if it remains the pinnacle of engineering and technological advancement. If it becomes another spec series like NECKCAR, IRL, etc. i would stop watching.
I like the idea of racing, but without ferrari in there, would you really bother?, I watch the red cars exclusively, couldn't tell you where any others finish most of the time, just where the ferraris ended up. It was different years go, but the format bores, and the cars are sterile and quiet, no excitement is generated for actual racing these days.
Didn't win for the last 9 years. Told us every year next year it would be better. Disappointed us every of those nine years and NEVER reflect any of their issues to themself. Yes, hate to say it but for me that's what a mediocre team does. Ferrari is be like Williams. Hugely succesful in the past. But not anymore for a long time. And not able to change that anymore. Face it guys. Ferrari in F1 will never be like it was because Ferrari will never be like it was.
BMW is the reason I started watching in 2000, but I stopped in 2009 when the ugliest race cars of all time debuted. I honestly didn't watch a single race with those BMW Saubers. I would've kept watching even after BMW's departure if the cars looked good.
I can remember when Ferrari were turning up almost every race with a new engine with more power, more rare metals during the MSC era and it is what we expected of F1, ..... got a power problem, build a new engine, got chassis issues by a designer (I miss Rory ) , got tyre problems .. nope, got driver problems .... nope, got money problems .... nope ........... enter the devil (Mercedes) and the rules changed and Ferrari were stupid enough to go along with it (suckers) , the token system was a joke, the engine limitation is a joke, Whiting is a joke, penalties for component changes is a BIG joke F1 is losing it's gloss and no trumped up little twerp in a Merc is going to make it a spectacle
