    God no.

Formula E is dull to say the least, so put more expensive drivers in the cars, make the aero so complicated they cant overtake as the cars get so unsettled...oh hang on a minute isn't this then a full sizes Scaletrix with all cars on the same track!

I'm sure it wont be long before electric cars are found out as not the answer to all our "troubles", and a more sensible approach is taken, with internal combustion engines being around for some time yet.

The current V6 hybrid has a limit of 15 000 RPM, but due to fuel saving and limited number of engines per year, most gear changes are short-shifted in the 10-12 000 RPM range. Only a change in F1 rules (not likely) can improve the situation.

For me it's pretty simple - no. It might be modern and all that, but no.

That F1 should have any relevance to road cars is BS. If so, where are the air bags, ABS, runflat tires, etc.? F1 is...or should be....about ultimate speed and excitement, with far fewer rules, both technical and sporting, than are in effect today.

F1 should be loud, hot, smelly, eye watering, earth shaking and a little frightening. But most of all, faster than anything else racing (which at the moment it is not).

This is also when supercars were loud, smelled like an imminent gasoline fire, and got 6-8 mpg on a good day. Most were so bad they could not be imported to the US without grey market modifications...which when done legally eliminated a significant amount of horsepower. I love the internal combustion engine and would much prefer the current hybrid systems than pure electric, but it’s eventually going to happen. I will know when I’m done with F1.
