Very sad. I hate seeing the great ones go, whom I read about and was inspired by as a boy. RIP Paolo Stanzani.
Very sad. I never had the opportunity to meet him... after all that I have read and heard about Paolo it's impossible not to think about him and the Lambo team, when I have my hands working on any early Lambo. RIP Paolo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh, it's very sad indeed. I hoped to meet him once, ask about some prototypes and LM002 development.... Sad. Rest in peace, Paolo. He was also the father of Bugatti EB110.
The morning of Saturday 21/01/2017, at 11am, many of the 'old hands' of Lamborghini attended a commemoration of Giampaolo at the church of SS. Andrea and Agata in Sant'Agata Bolognese. Tonino Lamborghini, Balboni, Dallara, Moruzzi, Salvioli, Cristina Guizzardi, even good old Ingrid Pussich and many many others were there. We all wished to commemorate with a simple ceremony our late beloved friend. There was also a bearded German guy with a IN-registered Audi RS6, whom I don't know. ) It was fitting to see 5110 parked (by Valentino) in front of the church, as if paying a respectful homage to Giampaolo. I have to say, and I don't comment much on the Miura, that this photo is one of the best. The color and the lines in this photo are addicting. Very 70's Hot Wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I remember reading about his amazing contributions to Lamborghini when as a young child I had (and still have) an obsession with the marque. His legacy will live on forever. RIP.
Image Unavailable, Please Login While visiting the factory a couple years ago Stanzini happen to be at the factory. Valentino made a special trip to visit with my family and me also. A factory worker was so kind he gave me his factory original uniform, I was able to have Valentino and Stanzini autograph it. The uniform is now in a glass frame hanging with all my Lamborghini memorabilia. Image Unavailable, Please Login
