    Hi,

Yes it's that time of the year again when I need to spend money on something that hopefully I'll never need to use !

I've read a few times in the past when you guys have got really good insurance deals, but have trawled through lots of history pages on here and can't find them.

Has anybody got some Company names and phone numbers that I could try for quotes?

I'm currently with Privileage but don't believe they are the cheapest around.

I've got a 348 with tracker and Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser, so hopefully have done my bit to keep my car my own !

I look forward to your replies as with everything else, I've left this to the last minute................... that's life I'm afraid !

I've used LV and A-Plan before and if the premium suits, I can recommend them.

LV have recently hiked their premiums, but it would seem to be in line with everyone else (including A-Plan) and their policies have few "clauses" which make them less of a pain in the butt.

Never had anything but comedic quotes from Norwich Union and most of the others.

However, this time I'm going with a lovely lady called Jayne at Footman James. The policy is fractionally (and I mean fractionally) cheaper than LV and A-Plan, but she has also quoted me on a multi-car policy on which I'll be able to include a prospective "near future" purchase at a stonking rate. A third car could also be added for good money, but I've just renewed this so will hold this policy as cashing them in is always a way to make one angry :)

I hear AON are good, but the guy I spoke to was rubbish. A name and number of more reliable contacts there has been posted on previous insurance threads.

Do you have a phone number for the lovely Jane at Footman James as I also have other cars so this may be worth pursuing.

Many thanks, I'll call him and mention your name as suggested. Perhaps he'll give you an extra 10% when you renew !

Nah don't think anyone gives me discount, but the guys are nice and friendly to deal with thats what I like, maybe I call too much or have to many cars, but they always call you by your first name after a few calls and chat a bit in general, which is why I like A-Plan and obviously the quotes, lets not forget the quotes!! ha ha!

Let me know how you get on with Paul.

Matkat - was this the quote that was given about a month ago? It got me really looking forward to getting my renewal, only to be disappointed.

Great quote for you, but underscores everything I hate about the insurance industry :) This must surely be a computer error, but any which way, enjoy it while it lasts.

Andy, yes same quote,as I wrote previous I thought the quote was for My old car(328 GTS) but when I read it I saw it was for the 355 and as You rightly say it must be an error ande I am indeed enjoying it.

I've just gone through this pain for my 348TS

LV were up 35% on last year.

Eventually went with AON (circa £500) - same as LV last year.

Limited to 5K miles and car must be a second car/thatcham alarm etc.

    £1450 - £200 more than what I was paying for a '96 993!

The next in line was Liverpool and Victoria at £2200-ish
