    I've just noticed that as your post count goes up, the count on ALL of you posts goes up, even the ones from yesterday! Interesting.

    I believe it's because the post count is pulled from your profile, which stores the user's updated post count. I don't think the database stores the post number for each post for each user...

    Quite right on target. Also everything is dynamic, so lets say you change your sig in one place, bam, it'll change everywhere else too. You'd be amazed at the some sites feature-rich content!
