Interesting. They seem to have raised the pitch throughout the rev range. Someone needs to get all three together with a standard car and a 458 (as a yard stick) for a face off. Always hard to tell from separate videos as you don't know how much each individual recording is playing into the equation. The good news is that all three suppliers have proved that there is more to be eeked out of the 488's sound.
Yeah, i thought it sounds good too - they claim they will have race cats and a valved exhaust. Have asked for pre-order pricing from a local US east coast rep. Currently scheduled to be avail early October. UPDATE: Spoke w/Wheelsboutique today; Retail pricing expected to be issued today; It will be a Titanium system.
If this video sound check turns out to be legit and the product sounds as good to the driver, huge win and can turn opinions around on the 488. Hope it's true.
I wouldn't be surprised if it sounds this good, the ipe f1 on the 458 is intense so why not on the 488 as well.
I have the IPE-F1 titanium setup on my 458 and it is by far one of the best sounding exhaust systems out there! I can't wait to hear what IPE comes up with for the 488!
I was checking out a local company in the OC and the IPE exhaust came up in conversation. I was told that the IPE along with a couple others source from the same CHINESE manufacturer. That all their parts are pre fab'd in China. They showed me an IPE kit that was going on a Mclaren. It had some very bat fit issues and required quite a bit of work on their end just to make it fit right. They said the customer wanted the IPE because its only thing available for his car at the time. Just seeing this made me go another direction. I couldn't see myself putting Chinese exhaust on a sexy piece of italian art. I wouldnt care if it was half price. If it was going on a Nissan GTR, then maybe, but going on a Ferrari,,,, No thanks, Ill pay more and go with something else. This is Just my thoughts based on the info I received.......

hey guys, any update ! I was thinking to fit novitec without valves but I was shocked with IPE sound and figures, do they make one type of muffler or different types setup. thanks

Also had the X Pipe IPE with sport cats until car was sold... it is definitely mind blowing. Now the set is sitting in my garage after 2000kms only... what a pity that it doesn't fit on the Italia. But for the 488 definitely the way to go! you don't need the muffler
