No replacement for the F 8, the 296 takes its place.
There was 6 years of production for the 458 and 488 each. If the F8 ends in 2022, then it will be a 3 year run. Total production for them will be less.
Smart money buys an F8 to store and a 296 to drive. Give it a few years and, voila, free 296. Look to the 512M for long term value potential on F8.
My guess is, not in the sense that you mean. I think the 296 will fill up the void when the V8 model goes in retirement. So not a direct successor in my opinion.
Wouldn’t think of any of these cars as investments. Buy them to drive the hell out of them. F40 doesn’t beat a 5% rate of return since it came out. Very few of these cars do/will.
I agree to all above. The F8 will age very well IMO, excellent design work, great performance, a very modern sport car in so many ways. I also believe it will be collectible, we might not see its full appeal as a collectible for 15 years or so but due to no special version, and its extremely small production numbers, it lends itself to a car that will hold its value very well.
yeah what a dumb graph by Ferrari. Basically telling their customers that the F8 they bought is neither performant nor fun to drive.
Congrats...Did you go for the GTB or the Spider (though not sure if the order books for the Spider are open yet)?
No you cannot. This IS the F8 replacement. By new segment they mean a V6 hybrid as opposed to V8 non-hybrid. The non-hybrid V8 is gone. The 296 will be as expensive, if not more so than the F8. It is what replaces it. The Pista represents the VS car for both the 488 and F8. Don't wait around for an F8 VS. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The SF90 is the new V8 segment. So there is a new V8. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Precisely. New segment that replaces the old segment. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Not all the way. The 296 will be produced until 2025. The last F8's will roll off the line by the end of 2022. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
They will continue with the V8 but it is a higher end segment. The SF90 is not the last V8. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You know of neither of those to be the case at this stage. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
If you want to play the smart money game, you pick up an F40 before pricing goes higher. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
