“God given right” is an expression. Personally, I’m an atheist. It’s a natural right (aka “god given”) to be able to protect yourself and family. In the USA, criminals can acquire guns just like drugs. Knives of course even easier. Criminals are far more afraid of armed citizens then cops. It took cops almost two hours to respond to a shots fired call and screaming on my 5 acre property; I just moved in and was playing paintball at midnight and neighbors called cops. American police are farcical.

This is an interesting thread, aside from the momentary hijacks, regarding criminals and their fear of armed citizens.

I posted an interesting youtube video, depicting inmates who say they are clearly afraid of armed citizens. Video evidence beats statistics in the eyes of many, but for those who want them, they are given below.

You are only invalidating other people with your opinion. Spewing insults / ad-hominem doesn’t help your position / opinions.

Notice how any opinion you say is emotionally based, then 2/3 of the time you’re just insulting others? All the statistics I posted were ignored. Use logic and reason. I’m sure you justify your response by saying pro-gun people are illogical
and unreasonable, but look in the mirror and actually read the comments.

If you want change, your behavior and communication only hurts you and people on “your side.”

You have a really skewed view of things. I am sure the mental health community has a term for it. You have been truly rude, not the opposite. Topical, maybe but of any informative value and contributory to debate? Not a single bit. And as far as ire up lets remember who started the subject and who has kept calm and respectful.

I said people who surrender rights and trust big daddy government to protect them and represent the people accurately are “sheeple.” I didn’t say “Aussies are sheeple.” The fact that you made that correlation is on you, you’re insulting your own people by putting those words in my mouth as that would be the correlation and implication made by yourself, not me.

I’ve posted actual articles, research, statistics, etc in defense of gun rights and directly contradicting the anti-gun opinions of this thread and contradicting the assumption the USA has done crazy gun violence statistics. There may be plenty of actual anti-gun opinions substantiated with reason, logic, and statistics but they have not been said here.

The fact that our logic, reason, statistics, etc is met with personal insults and ad hominem is evidence that those anti-gun people do not have substantiated opinions. That their opinions are emotionally based and when challenged they have no actual rebuttal so they spew insults and ad hominem.

This is an elementary observation. It’s a sad representation of people who may share those anti gun beliefs but have opinions actually based on logic, reason, facts, etc.
