Lol, coming from a guy that had his government confiscate his guns... Some prefer to be sheeple, some not. Kai
Many of us do. Only because Australians have the compulsion to shoot people in a rage doesn't mean everybody does. So maybe it was a good thing that the AUSTRALIA government confiscated the gun from its unstable citizens. Kai
Please get your stats straight. Actually,y maybe you should post the link of your erroneous statement. I mean, dislike what we do as much as you want, but please, don't lie to make your false points. Kai
You mob just DON'T get it. It's the mentality that's the problem, with anything to do with firearms....shoot to kill first, then see what happens.
I did. Any chance you might answer the question I posed? In case you missed it, in short it is "If the answer to the problem is MORE guns, at what point of gun ownership can we expect to see these massacres stop"?
I suspect you're one of the mentally disturbed we'll be reading about over our cornflakes, some of us don't live in fear

The US has an average of 88.8 firearms per 100 people, nearly double that of the nearest country, yet ranks only 12th in the firearms death rate per 100 000 with around 3 homicides per 100 000 people. For comparison, the motor vehicle accident fatality rate in Australia is 5.71 per 100 000 of population, so nearly double the US firearm homicide rate, and in the US the motor vehicle accident fatality rate is 12.3 per 100 000. And lastly the death rate from Cancer in both the US and Australia is around 300 per 100 000 of population. I suspect that if you analysed the causes behind the firearms related homicides, a lot would be gang or drug related - i.e. criminals killing each other, which further reduces the likelyhood of Mr or Mrs Joe Average (non criminal) becoming a firearm homicide statistic. What does it mean? Well even in the US, firearm related homicide is actually a pretty rare cause of death, which means the laws are unlikely to change, despite the publicity firearm homicides attract. M
I can't tell you how stupid a person looks to me when they use those sorts of stats to justify gun related deaths. Are you American?
When every law abiding citizen has a gun and there are no more gun free zone soft targets. I bet you there would be less attempting mass shootings, but those that did try would never make it more than a few shots in.
The reporting and attention it gets is out of proportion to the magnitude of the problem. You can thank the sensationalist media for that. That doesn't mean that gun related deaths are "justified". With 88 firearms per 100 people in the US, I'ts clear that the Yanks LOVE their guns, I don't think the occasional massacre is going to change that anytime soon either. Funny question coming from a Mexican. M
You obviously didn't notice the table I posted on the previous page. It is from the American Journal of Medicine and has only been published very recently. You are right about the number of firearms, but way off on the death rate. Here it is again... Image Unavailable, Please Login

I think that's more a function of traffic density than it is skill set. We got a lot of cities, with a lot of people. After all, at least we drive on the correct side of the street, like 90% of the civilized world. D
