Big difference between a cool police officer (off duty or not) and amateurs. She definately deserves accolades for this; very professional. How about the person who just pushes past, gets in the car and drives off? Can only hope she was going for help, I guess.

It's always easy to accept a superficial presentation of a problem that fits a predetermined narrative - that's what the media does every day.

You should do some research (it's not difficult) to understand just who is killing who with guns in the USA. You will find that the vast majority of gun fatalities are from one demographic group. Moreover, people in that group are overwhelmingly likely to be shot by someone else from the group.

Have you been following recent events in Chicago btw? Zero coverage in our media, because it doesn't show the favoured victim group in a good light.
