I find my 2010 Cali to be a bit too jerky for every day and the seats are not too cozy either, how does a F12 for my daily driving needs?

I don't believe you will find an F12 any better than a Cali as a DD.

I had an F12 for 2 weeks in St Tropez last Summer, lots of driving in heavy traffic, lots of stop and go.
The previous year had a 2013 California in exactly same situation.
F12 is easier to live with, smoother, more comfortable and my wife liked it better too.

It can be used as one yes, I find the interior has random creaks over bad roads.

Usually wouldn't take a Ferrari for a daily drive not because it can't it's just the I'm afraid of parking areas were some may unintentionally scratch it by getting out n in from their cars.

But the F12 a very nice daily driver i drove also an FF for a week and I'm on list for the facelift FF, loved it so much.

But if you plan to go to public areas parking I just suggest you be careful when choosing your parking area or just take your SUV/other for such duties.

Over 120,000 daily driving Ferrari miles since 2009 with zero door dings and I never park way out nor do I use more than one space. My experience has been that everyone sees it as a rather special car and therefore are careful around it ... even little blue hair old ladies :D. The California is much better daily in the comfort mode.

I got a door ding on my 458 coupe like the first month I owned it. Took it to the dealer and $150 later, you could not tell it where the ding was. I would show people where it was and they still could not find it.

IMO, the door ding thing is way over blown. Annoying? Yes. But whining about paying $150 on a car that costs $400,000? That's just silly.

Impressive Rick ... have you put 120,000 on one car? F12, FF or California?

I would say that the F12 is a great daily driver. Make sure to get the front/rear sensors plus camera, suspension lifter, and non-race seats.

I agree the 2010 era Cali is jerky and the seats are not shaped well. The new Cal Turbo seats are good but they ruined the dash with gimmicks. The FF is very comfy and still sporty as needed. Can't help you on the F12.

I've put 5k miles on my f12 since February. It's not my only daily car but I use it 70% of the time. Using the "bumpy road" setting and sport mode in auto its smoother than my audi rs7 was and is very complacent. Punch the throttle and it is true stress relief!

I use the F12 as a daily driver in and around New York city including throughout the winter in snow etc (with winter tires of course). I have done about 15,000 miles so far in the car. Being objective the car is not a good daily driver and if you find the Cali uncomfortable I don't think you would be happy with an F12. The car is overpowered, the steering is twitchy, gear changes aren't smooth unless you are changing at high revs (which you generally will not be in ordinary driving), even in bumpy road mode the suspension is stiff etc. Do I enjoy driving it? You bet! But it's not really a grand tourer like the gated 575 I did over 100,000 kms in before getting the F12. You have to want to be in an F12 every day.

Ps this is what the car looked like about a month into last winter ...

Total for two California's and two FF's. My first '10 Cali I sold with almost 30,000 miles. Just turned my '12 Cali in to trade into a T and the '12 had 27,643 on it. Traded my '12 FF with 46,000 miles for a '14 which now has about 9,000 miles, guess I missed the total some as that comes to not quite 113,000 miles total. The T will be here very soon, it showed status 90 since July 23 or before.

I'm on my way shortly, in the F12, to the barbershop for a haircut, then on to see a friend who owns a small independent shop. I don't hesitate to take it anywhere except the mall......
99% of the lookers are very careful up close.
I've also put 60,000 on my 308 and TR over the last 18 years. Only one major door ding in all that time.
As someone said, you get the smiles with the miles.

Did you drive the Cali T?
I switched my Porsche TT DD out for it and I'm very happy.
I found the Cali T ride more comfortable then the F12 IMO ...

Agree with all of this. Best picture of an F12 yet, by the way!

Part of what a DD is, is a car that is very competent, very reliable, yet that doesn't need to be front and center in your mind when you're driving it.

The F12 is absolutely wonderful, but it is NOT that car. The F12 demands attention and is insanely jealous if your mind happens to wander to anything else.

If you're an adrenalin junkie, it might just fill the bill of a DD for you. I suspect for many others, it will be just too stressful.

"If you want to be happy, and live a king life, always make an ugly woman your wife." -- Robert Mitchum. So it is with DDs too!

Forgive me for dredging this up but, "too stressful" Elaborate please. I just traded my 991 TTS today for an F12...which I am planning to daily drive. Full Disclosure: I drove an F12 once on a shortish test drive. I had a 458 and found it easy to drive.

I drive mine daily. In fact, its my only car. Use it for everything...groceries, gym, work, movies, and road trips.

Few things to consider...i am only 165cm tall and my wife is 155cm. I have the Large carbon racing seats in leather. Because of our small figures, the car feels very spacious. That adds a lot of comfort for us. Bumpy road mode makes the suspension very comfortable too. Best car in its category hands down. Would highly recommend to anyone who can afford it.
