BlueCam, I'll have to ride on your confidence because at the moment the only color I see this working well with is Nero. LOL. Forza, Cavallini
th efront is OK, but the back is horrible IMO. this also happened with the F430 for me. now i love the f430, hopefully it will happen for this car.
I heard this today from local Fcar store manager. "Phone has been ringing all week with wannabe buyers for the 599". I guess a few people like it. Dave
I don't know, didn't ask, but I don't think I could get one very quick at this point. They did have orders for the car ahead of its debut, now they have more. Dave
LOL. Reminds me of the SNL spoof with her: Is the Paris Hilton roomy? For you, sure. But seriously I hope that hole in the rear is not the car's final appearance. Way too deep for the license plate. Just horrible.
I spoke to Giacomo at Ferrari of Beverly Hills and he saw the car. He did confirm this is the car, but the pictures do no justice for the 599GTB. He said it is absolutely stunning in real life.
What do you guys think of the back end? It is very Italian and the whole car is beautiful, but the rear needs some strength, a lot of strength, maybe it should go the way they went on the 430, being inspired by the Enzo, not too strong though, but it still needs to shred the gnar.
Well going on those pics I dont like it at all, far, far too much Corvette influence... I will admit that the car is certainly striking but thats about it, sure it might look lovely in the metal but to me this is probably the worst looking Ferrari for some time, thought having said that its lines may look better after great exposure...
Just as an FYI, the price on the Miura apparantly was just thrown out there to gain reaction of what they can get. The latest rumor at the LA show was this being a direct competitor in power and price of the F599, so the Lambo, if produced, would be sold in the $250-$275K range. Of course this can't be confirmed, but it does make the choice for some a little bit more fuzzy.
with the original prices rumered at 700,000$.....and now hearing it might be 250 000$ instead...its a big relief for alot of people out there that liked it alot and would buy iy but just didnt have those kinds of funds....
IMHO the 599 is an atrocity. To think it was sent back to the drawing board 6 months ago and still came out this "confused" is proof you can not mix Pininfarina with in-house hip designers.
i had no idea they sent it back for improvements...they certainly didnt improve on anything imo as well....
Interesting. Thats one hell of a swing. I dont know how most people will react to Lambo screwing around with a $400k margin on a car. If the car is profitable at $275.. then to "gauge" interest at $700k is a kick in the balls. Even if you got it, I don't know of any one who wants to spend 3/4 mil on a quarter mil car...
