that isn't something I'd be too worried about, easily fixed by someone who buys one.

I have also heard rumblings about 4 tail lamps. Where did you get your info? I would be greatly relieved to see that happen. It would definately tie in the back end much more to classic Ferrari design rather than two odd lamps. Perhaps they will exorcise their wheels as well.

I hope it looks 1/2 as good as it's going to perform.

For comparison's sake, do you know the weights of similar models, like the 575, Vanquish, SLR and CGT?

    Many thanks,

I don't think a CGT is similar....to many differences IMO.

Just got back from hunting. I'm in a much better mood (shot three deer). The car is slowly growing on me, the sole ecxeption being that FUGLY front grill.

Perhaps when a tuner does a new bumper/grill that will solve the main problem I see with the car. I can live with the rear, but not that grill.

When will this go into production? Mid-summer for Europe and fall for the rest?

True, the CGT is on a very different mission but the HP and TQ similarities should make an interesting point of comparison, just as the Enzo will inevitably be compared to the 599.

The only true, all-around rival seems to be the SLR, which as we know was often compared, albeit unfairly, to the more extreme CGT and Enzo.

I'll try to find those figures.

    Forza,

Well the SLR is much more money, I'd say the AS V12 is it's competition.
But performance wise, it will compete with cars that cost much more....impressive.

Ferrari's first-release media shots have never impressed me, as they do nothing for the cars. I wanna see better photos of it before I make a judgement.

Sorry I didn't read much of the thread. Am I the only one that thinks that thing looks way too American? Stick to the European style please Ferrari.

Cyril, where did these pictures come from?

I wouldnt describe it as beautiful but it is innovative especially with the see-through butresses.

Did you notice the wheels on the car in the photos in post 290? They are not the same as in the "official" photos at which we have all been reviewing.

true, the wheels appear to be of a new design.
but man! what a fat ass! haha.. it looks tall and wide, probably designed for fitting golf clubs.

It aslo appears even taller bc the rear bumper is not done in full so it looks top heavy.

The first few camera phone pic of the f430 looked that way too, but it really isn't. Great look at the rear glass "bubble" with buttress in those camera phone pics.

    Thanks, Cyril !

I wish I knew when Cyril's photos were taken, because I still only see two tail lights. In these photos, there doesn't appear to be room to add two more.

If they add 2 more lights i am sure they would make all four smaller. Still cool photos nonetheless.

Pretty funny that it seems the publicer isn't aware of the fact that the 599GTB is already officiallt announced weeks ago :D

Ferrari is probably shooting the promotion video clip over there?

Sure thats not a new Cadillac?

Dont see a prancing horse on the back either must be too embarrased to put one on, fat is an understatement.

Ferraris so called lifestyle image will be changing as well with continued poor designs.
