I certainly disagree that Musk is getting a raw deal -- the only thing happening to Musk is that reality is catching up to his vaporware hype that never happens. I do like what Musk and Trump are doing at DOGE -- but that has nothing to do with the Tesla scam (and the whole BEV scam).

Got it! Musk at DOGE is okay, but Musk at Tesla is bad.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Cheers

Yes, why can't you comprehend that a person can have two different behaviors in two different areas, and I can like one of those behaviors, but not the other behavior? Does one need to always be either a total Musk lover or a total Musk hater with nothing in between?

I am switching from a TSLA to a Ferrari. I am quite excited about this as I am yet to take delivery :). I have personally Owned Tesla since 2016 and I have enjoyed every bit of it. I have personally invested in TSLA early and sold it at its peak. I had always enjoyed driving the car and always hoped I would never have to take it to service. The service model is quite pathetic in my opinion. Always understaffed and long wait times at the shop and if I am lucky I may get a loaner. As I started to have issues with the car like rattling noise, steering sounds suspension sounds I started to realize how painful and inconvenient it is to setup a service appointment and also learnt how cheap were some of the materials that were used to construct the car. Maybe it has gotten better with newer builds.

Their technology of FSD is something I used often I have seen it get better and better over the years. The concept of new features being added was something that got me excited.

I don't not think I would ever go back to Tesla considering how little effort has been put into service. I personally believe OEMs job does not stop at selling cars and need to be equally provide similar quality when you need to a service.

Tesla Recalls Every Single Cybertruck Over Stainless Steel Trims Falling Off
    • Issue stems from cant rail panel using a faulty structural adhesive prone to embrittlement.
Tesla will replace the adhesive with structural chewing gum. :D

You'll be happy to know that now that you've swapped your Tesla for a Ferrari, all those issues of substandard parts and cheap materials are now behind you.

    Welcome! to perfec

I think Tesla has enough problems with their total recall on Cybertrucks. Exterior panels are glued on and are now failing and falling off. My recommendation is not to follow one too closely on the highway or you could lose your head, literally.

I sold my Tesla a long time ago. But I don't have money for a Ferrari yet. I'm thinking of buying a Ferrari in 8 months. That's according to my calculations.

Those god awful trucks are falling apart because he stole the glue to sniff it; he is clearly becoming unglued. He is doing everything to sabotage his own brand, the board should ask him to get out.

I know I will attract some discomfort, but I just want to write in this thread how disgusted and frightened I got by seeing musk doing all his bs in the last months.
Giving big checks to prospect voters, promoting luck-based greed in place of quiet political reasoning.
Swinging party preferences just on the basis of the winner’s highest likelihood, showing that values and individual beliefs should be ignored to follow the winner of the moment at all costs, that opportunism can be the right way of being.
Making the nazi salute, certainly well prepared in advance, claiming that hundreds millions of people were over reacting to a “normal” gesture.
Assuming that DOGE can be run as a video game, that professional people can be fired on the basis of some ai bs checking what they wrote into an email.
Dressing in a style that makes you wonder about his fitness of mind.
Waving a chainsaw like a flag, or as if he was a wrestler instead of a top political consultant.
And I am sure there’s a lot more.
Anyhow to my eyes all his genius in these last years and especially months was totally shadowed by the impression he’s got some serious personality problems, possibly amplified by the assumption of something.
Or put more quickly: he’s become just a dangerous idiot, and I won’t be surprised to see him fully collapse at some point.
    Ciao.
    Nic

He is completely out of control, a child who has no boundaries and does not even realize he needs them. It is all becoming too much for him, too much going on, he is overwhelmed but would never admit it. I will go so far as to say he will die bankrupt...if he lives a full lifespan.

    Hey @Steve Magnusson,

I know you’ve never been a card-carrying member of the Elon Musk fan club—For years, I held the line: “Yeah, he’s a jerk, but hey—he’s our money-making jerk!

I mean here, almost 5 years ago—I said Musk is a self-serving opportunist who’s only ever cared about two things: himself and collecting government subsidies like they’re Pokémon cards.

Granted, it probably helped that my neighbor was employee #8 at Tesla... so yeah, I had the plaid-level inside scoop while everyone else was still marveling at the Falcon doors.

But alas… I’ve been on an all-crow diet lately—served raw, with a side of regret. You were right. I was wrong. Elon’s “legacy” might not go down the way I thought it would. Hey, I’m not too proud to admit when I’ve messed up. That’s how I grow. Evolve. Reach higher consciousness. I mean, I once liked Will Smith and Rudy too, so clearly my judgment has... range.

And now this—Milton, neck-deep in debt, no truck, no hope, and erasing restitution like it’s a whiteboard after a bad pitch. Scammed folks and walked.
I’m right there with you, man. My blood’s boiling - See? I told you—we agree on more stuff than we argue about. That's the way I used to remember things.

You know, I've been around so long that back then bad or embarrassing news was released on Friday late afternoon because the only way to learn of it was in Monday morning's newspapers (unless you had money and could afford the 25 cent Sunday paper). If you had the money for a TV, the national nightly news (on the only 3 channels available) was 15 minutes. So maybe most of the public missed it.

However, today there is no point in it. Just like all the tens of thousands of firings on Friday night, we all know now. What a bunch of effing clowns.

And I would contend that you are still being defrauded this very minute.

Cut funding to SpaceX the lowest cost space carrier...that's a grand idea. Or go back to Boeing, Lockheed, etc., at cost plus. How'd that go for the last astronauts in the Boeing Starliner?

I don’t get how people can be ‘disgusted’ or ‘frightened’ by him. There are thousand of evil CEO’s in the world and I don’t think Musk is one of them. His persona is being pushed into the spotlight for political reasons and I think the news media are taking advantage of what can make them the most money.

Let the man go about his business I say.

the difference is he literally is in the whitehouse, has bought a social media company for billions just purely for the sake of giving his own right wing opinions without fear of repercussion, etc
