    Hi Tarek
I am late to this discussion, have been away.
I see a lot of Arab registered cars in Spain in the summer, I am sure there is no problem if you stay below 6 months. Your insurer in Egypt will need to give you a Green Card for all EU countries you plan to visit.
This is a link for HM customs and revenue (UK) - there is some info on taking a car into the UK (EU) for less than 6 months. You might want to read it in bed one evening, it will help you fall asleep lol!

    Hi Tarek

here is the information I got, but my friend isn't 100% sure because he works in the workshop and not in the office:

You can register a car only on german plates if your (main?) residence is in Germany. If that is not the case you can only drive with your egypt plates and don't have to pay anything. I know of some swiss registered Ferraris that reside in Germany the whole year and also a norwegian Ferrari that is most of the year in Germany.

Importing the car to Germany shouldn't be a big problem and you just have to pay taxes when you sell the car here. But he wasn't 100% sure on that...
He didn't know anything about the 6 month thing.

So I guess that's pretty much the same as Mark allready mentioned.

    Martin

PS: in october are the Ferrari Racing Days at the Nürburgring and it would be very cool to see an egypt registered Scuderia there... :) :) :)

Thank you Martin........it seems it is not a difficult issue to bring the car over to Europe and keep it there. Expect to see the Scud in Germany ;).

Thanks again Martin and best regards,

    Tarek
