Yeah I will not be able to be up at 1am to watch the race that will go until 3am in the middle of the night. Why do they do this?.... they keep the race times for all other countries intact. If they raced at 11am or noon it would only be 5pm or 6pm in Europe...which those times would work much better I am thinking. STUPID!
Just got this email from Fontainebleau on the North Strip. Not a bad deal as its a room and 2 tickets in the Sphere zone Friday and Saturday. Ticket values for the 2 nights should be around $750 each. So for about $1700 you get a room for 2 nights and $1500 in ticket value. "This package has limited availability. FIA clamps down on skid block F1 loophole for Las Vegas GP Formula 1's governing body removes a loophole to help protect plank wear
-The FIA has issued a new technical directive clarifying the way in which skids may be attached to the floor, resulting in a number of F1 teams including Ferrari and Red Bull making changes for this weekend’s Las Vegas GP- Will see how that affects them.
Tyre Allocations data: The tyre allocation for Las Vegas features the three softest compounds in Pirelli’s range: the C3-hard, C4-medium and C5-soft. With eight sets of soft tyres, three sets of mediums, and two sets of hards available to each driver, strategy will inevitably hinge on getting the tyres into the optimal temperature range and keeping them there.
Found this headline.........true if you are there?? The Las Vegas Grand Prix Smells Like Weed "I'm a bit tired of it already, the amount is incredible," said Red Bull driver Sergio Perez
LV is not for people whom dislike gambling, crowds, weed , alcohol ,shallow stuff, prostitution , fake everything, dirty suburbs, extreme temperatures, etc. Despite all the negatives, there are still interesting things to do and see. The current "face" of F1 ...imposed by its owners...matches perfectly with LV..because the people paying to watch it, like and enjoy all the negatives that come with the city. IF You are in LV now I can almost guarantee it is mostly for what the City is offering you ( good or bad) and much less for a Formula 1 car race. Not unlike Monaco in that respect, BUT without the list above. COTA is the best F1 race America can offer now....by a Loooooong shot!
I'm considering an impromptu attendance to the race tomorrow with my son. Any room/ticket promotions or F-chatters looking to sell their tickets?
