    A competitor in my business industry sent me one of their dealer catalogs that lists the cost and list price of a competing product. Their product's cost and suggested retail is double my cost model.

    Question: Could I get my butt in a sling if I posted their add for this product on my business website? Reason for posting: To further my company's point that dealers and the public are being ripped off by any other product line other than from my company.

    I have done it in the past. I stole there price list and used it against them. Check you local laws I guess. I didn't check but it was no biggie, I was telling the truth.

    I'm not sure of the product, but if you are reselling, that might be one thing. But if you are developing two products that are competing for the market - you might just be introducing your customers into other options - regardless of how expensive.
