Top gesture, Pap! Takes great self control to exercise restraint like you did, too. I didn't a couple of times and a demo ride became a bit 'hairy'. I will learn from you.

Looks like you have the same problem as I though: the Ferrari attracts all the 12 year old boys but few 20 year old girls !

    Great fun.
Little boys and little girls love the car the most. Unreal! I thought I would get amongst more women with the Ferrari, but that has not happened yet. :p:p
I have a beautiful g/f now, so I only window shop these days. ;)

Very nice. The F40-style seats are great! I aslo like the black-out horses (powdercoated?) and aluminum footrest.

Pap, got any close up shots of your scuderia shields? Anyone else? Opinions?

I love my sheilds. They were just put on the car when I purchased it. Mine are stick on ones. Clear plastic coat over the thin metal sheild. :):)

EDIT-I thought I did have a close up pic of my sheilds sorry. I must have deleted the pic? Never mind, I am going for a drive today so I will take a pic for you anyways. :)
    Talks soon mate.

Nice pics Mike. I love those seats and the alcantra looks cool on the doors. :):) How far does he plan to go with the alcantra? :):)

Thanks - I'll keep my eye on this thread. :) I have a pair of OEM Ferrari resin shields (sounds like that's what yours are), but they don't seem to have much of the "sticky" left under the paper backing. Maybe they're too old. Thinking about adding some type of adhesive and sticking them on anyway, but a little nervous about potentially messing up the paint. Know what I mean?

I'm not really sure. That might be it for the alcantara. He's doing all the work himself. I was very impressed with his work so far. If I were him I'd do the whole dash and console in alcantara.

Buy yourself a pair of magnetic scuderia shields and you will overcome the problems caused by the plastic ones messing up your paint. I bought a pair from the USA recently.

Great gesture Pap. You have the same lifestyle motto as me which is, "It's better to give than receive". Cheers.

I do not think they are OEM ones. Sounds like them though? :)
Not 100% sure of what glue to use that will not damage the paint, but that is the last thing you want to do on your 348. :)
Here are pics of my sheild from today. Not the best pics sorry. They protude around 3mm off the bodywork. They look great IMO. These are glued on. Not sure how I can get them off without damage paint, but no big deal. I would just repaint if I had to remove them. :)

Nice work. Hard work, but nice. :)
Would be hard to do the lot in alcantra would it not? Not sure how hard it is to fit alcantra, but he seems to be doing a great job with it if he is not an auto-upholsterer. :) Thanks for sharing the pics Mike. :)

That is the only way I work mate. :)
I just agreed to do probably $1K+ of work/labour to a friends Nissan 180SX for nothing. Just finished around $4K of work to another mates L/C for nothing. Cost in parts was $2K. Labour would normally cost him over $2K+. No engine or gearbox, just ALOT of little jobs. Spent over 40 hours+ for no money at all, on days off. Thats where I have been the last 2 days, not including the other days over the last few weeks. :) I will happily help friends, because I always have alot of spare time on my hands. :)

Here are my pics from this morning. Took a friend/workmate for a drive in the 348. He has loved Ferrari his entire life and I promised to take him for a drive one year ago. He is 33yrs old. Most of the time at work, he asked when am I taking him for a drive, but I always replied that I was "too busy" to make it happen. I FINALLY took him for a drive today. I felt bad, because I took so long to take him for a drive, I offered to let him have a drive of the 348. He refused at first, but after my constant offering to give him a drive, he finally accepted. :) He LOVED every minute of it. He could not be happier. After the drive, he said now he knows why Ferrari really are the best cars in the world. Sounds fantastic with that new exhaust and the feel is amazing. He was just happy to see the car and for me to take him for a drive, BUT he was estatic that I let him drive the car for all of 10 mins. :D:D I told him to keep driving, but he pulled up out the front of my brothers place and said that was enough. He was happy though and thats the main thing. :):)
