I watched the GGG fight again. A lot of the fight his face was pink and tender looking while alvarez did not look as if he had spent the fight getting slapped around. i dunno, I wanted the fight to be more decisive, but boxing has been pretty lame with bad scoring for the last year or so

Yes for sure. 10-9 scoring leads to a lot of arguments.
I will score rounds and trying to decide the 10-9 is sometimes impossible. You can usually make a better decision after watching the round again, but judges don't get that advantage on the night...maybe they should??A knockdown here and there sure makes scoring the round easier. Was looking at another forum talking about 10-10 scoring...now there's a can of worms.
The beauty and simplicity of boxing is that if you want to win the fight, even if you are down 10 rounds to 0 and no matter how lucky it is.....KO is the king!

I agree with you. I had GGG winning this fight also. :(

NO WAY GGG is going to win a fight in Vegas against Canelo while he is Golden Boy's cash cow! Unless he KO's him. What a joke.

It was a much closer fight than the first fight, so I wouldn't call it a robbery.

I still think GGG won this fight. GGG won the first fight easily and I thought it would have been the same fight.

But Canelo stood there and went toe to toe with him this time which made it a much closer and better fight.

The wrong man got the decision IMO. :(

Was a good fight. AJ got off to a slow start and Povetkin kept him on his toes.

It was always going to be an awkward fight for AJ as he is a much bigger man.

AJ timed it just right, let Povetkin start to tire himself out and then go for the kill which resulted in a big KO victory.

I hope he doesn't fight Dillian Whyte again, I hope they strike a deal with whoever wins the Wilder VS Fury fight on the 1st of December.

Canelo fought an outstanding fight and actually fought more like Golovkin than how Canelo normally styles himself. Very impressive, but by the numbers Canelo still lost again. Canelo also was very wobbled in the 10th with the best 1-2 combination of the fight, he wasn't countering, rather he just ducking and barely survived on the ropes. I really believe had G scored another hit like that during that stunned period Canelo would have gone down. I have never seen Canelo stunned before, ever, but he was in the 10th and it looked bad. Both are great fighters with unbelievable chins, but at this level it is all about the money which is sad for the purists out there. If it were at Madison Sq Garden Golovkin would have the win. There's a reason Canelo will never fight there.

That's a loss for the sport as well. HBO always has done the classiest and best productions of boxing events. The 80s were the best. Boxing has sucked ever since the late 90s. The sport is due for another phenom any day now, I wonder who it will be. Whenever he emerges, nobody will even remember Floyd "how many laps can I run around the ring?" Mayweather.

Smart move for HBO. They'll be back whenever the next star is born.

Agreed, we need a superstar. MMA is one of those things for me that just does not hold my interest anymore. I'll miss Max Kellerman, but I could care less about the others.

Yes! This will be a nice warm up fight for him. :D

*I had a dream last night that Crawford was KO'd by a short upper-cut.*

But I am expecting him to stop this guy and then hopefully we hear of some BIG news for his next fight.

I don't know, Crawford VS Porter perhaps? :D

I want to see Crawford take that WBC title from him before we see Crawford VS Spence Jr. :D

I agree with you regarding after tonight's fight. Yes, Crawford should fight Porter first. Perfect scenario into the Spence Jr. fight. But also, Thurman has to go! He's not worthy anymore.

About Crawford getting KO'ed, Anything could happen, I just hope your conscious is incorrect.

Yep, Crawford should beat Porter IMO.

And then set up a massive showdown with Spence Jr.

Thurman?? Forget about him lol. I can only imagine how rusty he will be IF he ever returns to the ring.

Mundine vs Horn on the 30th.
Went through security at Brisbane airport with the man the other day.
He looked like a slob in baggy shorts and thongs and dragged his feet with no interest in anything. Very uninspiring.
