Totally agree: sorry I didn't address this post-fight issue. The way he spoke to Larry Merchant, was totally out-of-line. No matter what he thinks of LM, the man is old enough to be has grandfather, and for someone so long in the sport, some respect is deserved no matter the biases or circumstances. Since he was still in the ring at the time this occurred, for his outburst to LM on National TV, he should receive a severe penalty or fine by the Nevada State Boxing Commission (if they had a clue how to run the sport).

Whilst I can swallow his unsportsmanlike behavior because he was responding to Ortiz's unsportsmanlike behavior (perhaps the most blatant head-butt I ever witnessed in watching boxing for 40 years!), his outburst was inexcusable.

By the way I think Pacquiao vs Marquez will be one heck of a fight on Nov 12. I will be there...

I just looked online, I don't think I want to spend $2k per seat to see Pacquiao vs Marquez.

Sorry, that fight will be a white wash. I won't buy the PPV or the hype on that one. Marquez already proved he can't fight at 140. He was slow as molasses against Mayweather, and that was a couple of years ago. At 38 he's NOT fresh, and I expect Pacquiao to stop him.

That would be the limit but they agreed on a catch weight of 144. You see these catch weight fights more and more, as if more weight classes are needed, it's dumb. I suspect both fighters will come in where they feel most comfortable.

I seriously hope your right. After what Pacquiao's done to full blown welterweights, and junior middleweight Margarito, if Marquez gives him a tough fight, that's going to seriously diminish his stature. One thing for sure, there is no dog in Marquez.

It will be a fight, even non-fight fans such as my wife think so. We will have always wanted to watch Paquiao fight in person, and this seems promising. Vegas here we come!

Just watched Max Kellerman "Face Off" with both fighters and trainers. Pretty good, but reality is Pacquiao is MUCH better since the last time they fought in 2008, and Marquez is not. Marquez was down four times in their two fights, what's going to happen this time? This will be a far cry from the Thrilla in Manilla.

In any case, if you have a chance to see a Pacquiao fight take it. I saw him in Dallas against Clottey.

I cant say this fight will be anything special, but watching the first two gives me the feeling that this could be quite a fight. Both have something to prove, both are equally older, and both are taking it very seriously. I look for Pac to win of course, but it could possibly be a good one...

What about this weekend, Hopkins Vs. Dawson? Won't buy the PPV, but Dawson really should be able to beat Hopkins, even though I've picked against him the last 4 fights the old guy keeps surprising.

^^^ I'm looking for Dawson to do some damage (I hope)? Has anyone seen the Pac/Marquez (I don't know what it was called) With Max Kellerman. It was so one sided & Bias in favor of Pacquiao. They showed only the knockdowns that pac scored and talked about them then showed a few GREAT punches thar Marquez scored and asked Pacquiao & Roach how there gonna prevent these punches from landing in the third fight.

I don't think Hopkins is that good as opposed to the fact that he is so darned difficult to fight... we shall see. Dawson ought to be able to take him out but to me he doesn't earn the "Bad" nickname...

Agree it was biased. They didn't show Pac's face after the 2nd fight :) Or was that the 1st fight? Cant remember...

Controversy and Hopkins? No way. Ha. I'm glad I didn't pay for that POS. That's what happens when you get old and brittle.

The only matchup worth watching is pacquiao vs mayweather. And that has the potential to be boring also with mayweather just rolling off punches from manny all night long. My prediction in that fight (if they ever fight) is pacman by decision. Other than that fight, I'm not watching anymore boxing.

Can't blame you. I had a feeling Hopkins would somehow escape. He doesn't get stopped or KO'ed, he just finds a way out. Some are calling no contest, foul, or whatever, but a younger fighter would have gotten up... Should say he did suffer shoulder separation, but your OLD get out.
