Wow for the second week in a row. Guerrero and Berto put on an old school rumble. Great heart and balls by both. Fights like this is why I can't give up on the sport. MMA/UFC would be hard pressed to top something like that.

Yeah I don't think he was "great" by a long shot. He was flashy with quick hands and feet. A good chin doesn't hurt either.

I watched the fight also. Wasn't as impressed with the fight as you were. Too much dirty boxing for me. Too much holding. Plus, I'm just not a fan of Berto. Now Gurrero impressed me like always. On another note, Last week the GSP vs Condit fight was a barn burner. That topped this fight.

    BWAHAHA, justice is finally served!!!

Watching 24/7, they mentioned Pacman postponed his training by 2 weeks. At the weigh in, Pac came in heavier, 147
Marquez came in at 143, but he looked way better.
Juan Manuel Marquez came into this fight to settle **** once and for all. No if's, and's, or but's. This is gonna go down as the KO of the year, no doubt about it. Very similar, if not the same as Sergio Martinez' knock out of Paul Williams a year or two ago.
As for fight of the year, I'd say it has a chance. The ChavezJr-Martinez fight had a good ending as well.

It was sad the way it ended. All good things must come to an end... I felt Pac was winning the fight. BUT... Very close. Don't be surprised if Marquez tests positive for something. I know he had a trainer and all, But that body was Hard!!!! He's NEVER looked that good (the body).

You bought it, and I didn't. Now who's the real fan? LOL.

Yeah I have to wonder about steroids too, still not convinced, Pacquiao isn't on them also.

After watching 24/7 I had a feeling Marquez was going to win this. Manny has just been way to distracted with his Political life along with his marriage. His marital issues were do to his wife pissed off that he was away from the familly too much. Even Freddie mentioned that this could be his last fight if he saw his skills deteriorating. Very sad as I really like Manny and would have at least see him fight Mayweather, when he was at his prime.

Yeah, it was only a matter of time before someone brought that up. On 24/7, they talked about Mr. Heredia and his past about doping athletes. Marquez said that he would submit to a test whenever to dispel any rumors that he was juicing. Juan Manuel Marquez just wanted it more badly than ever before after the last 3 fights, and last night it showed.

I also thought the Pacman was winning, was close...............but he was doing it easily!

I also agree with the commentators when they said it's the best Pacman has looked in years. I have watched nearly all of his fights over the last 3-4 years and he DID look great compared to his last 10 fights where he looked like he had lost some interest in boxing.

Marquez looked great too, of course. He said he knew the Pacman was coming in for the 'one two' and he stepped to the side to avoid it while throwing a very solid punch that would have knocked out Mike Tyson.

If it didn't go down like this, I reckon the Pacman would have knocked him out in the next few rounds. He had Marquez hurting, had him bleeding and was making him look quite average.

I don't really think anything was settled this time. I mean, a one punch knockout doesn't prove who the better fighter is.

I would love to see them fight yet again.....................and for it to go the distance with a very convincing winner points. That and only then will these two warriors and myself included will believe anything is settled.

**And it sounds like Bob Arum and the Pacman are keen to go again. Hopefully Marquez is too**

I don't know why Marquez would want to do it again, he got his revenge, he could lose it by going again, of course money makes such reasoning disappear.

Marquez is no spring chicken at 39 years old. He should take the money and retire now.

^^^ at that age and at this point, Another fight will give him $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ more in his bank. Take the fight and the money. It's not like he's an undefeated fighter and is afraid to lose the streak. So what if he loses, its Millions more in his bank.

Wow, just speculation and strikes me a bit as sensationalism but FWIW, http://www.forbes.com/sites/lancemadden/2013/01/04/manny-pacquiao-could-have-parkinsons-should-he-retire/.

Yeah, now that it's safe. It's really a terrible fight now.

If Floyd fights Guerrero like is rumored in May he will have his hands full. A fresh VERY tough south paw.

Excellent part II to Rios/Alvarado last night. That's what keeps boxing alive. Just happens too infrequently.

Good fight, even though Rios did a number to Alvarado's face, he still came back strong. I thought Rios was gonna finish him on the 3rd/4th round when he hurt him.

    Bring on Canelo vs Trout!!
