Our Ferrari Club toured a nice collection today. The owner had these two surprises for us. Coolest part was that we were allowed to sit in any car in the collection. These two being the most popular, of course. :)

    Willis,

Thanks for the great photos. For what it's worth, the #14 is a very well done reconstruction of a destroyed car which uses what parts survived. The #8 is a replica, one of four or five which all claim to be the same (real) car. None is.

Very interesting. #14 is, indeed, a reconstructed car. Pedro Rodriguez lost his life driving it. It was a real challenge for many of us trying to get into the car. Could have easily pull a muscle, bust a gut, or worse.

Not much was said (that I heard) about #8 as it belonged to a buddy of the collection owner.

Wow, I thought they were original. What about the 512 #1028 for sale at Talacrest.

So what we have is a very nice collection of replicas? Uh oh! (Installing Nomex suit in anticipation of flame wars>)

The collection is quite real. The owner's into vintage racing and is quite well known around here. He and his crew made it known to everyone that car #14 was rebuilt after the Rodriguez crash. Car #8 is not his car.

Why are you so skeptical of everything? Trying to live up to your screen name, right? :)
