I know this is a long shot, but I'm looking for the original books for a yellow, 2003, 3-pedal 360 Modena. VIN # 132063 Bought this as my first F-Car a couple of months ago, but came without books. The person I bought from said when he bought it, the previous owner refused to hand over the books unless he paid an extra few $K. He refused, so now the two are separated. I'd love to reunite the two, and am prepared to pay a "fair" amount for them. Car was purchased in Melbourne, both by me and the previous owner. Hoping someone here might know the original owner with the books as Giallo Modena isn't all that common a colour. Thanks, Jon
Sounds like a BS story to me If the books are there they should come with the car. The previous owner has no use for them!!
Yeah, it is. Getting the original one back on in the near future. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I agree, but apparently he thought he could make more money by selling separately. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I Would pay $150 for an Aust delivered red with tan, manual 360 coupe with books low kms. I love them! Why is the 360 unwanted similar to the Mondial ? I love Mondial's too
Good luck even finding that spec, let alone for that money. I haven't seen one come up in the 12 months I've been watching. I had to settle for an F1 as I couldn't wait for a manual
OMG what a stunning memory, i forget where i leave car keys from the night before.... I have seen owners manuals on USA Ebay, wont be for your exact car, but something i suppose
I knew he bought at auction 8 years ago, but he told me about the books being there initially but not when he picked it up. That’s when the extra $$ we’re demanded if he wanted them. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yes, the price was lower than others, but it was given a 9/10 during the PPI so seemed worth buying, despite the lack of books. Only things it needed were front ball joints and rotors/pads. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hi Jon perhaps buy books online chase the service history I think you can get your service stamps most places are very helpful good luck Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yeah, that’s my backup plan. Just thought it was worth asking on here as everyone seems to know what’s going on in the Ferrari world and who owns what etc. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
When you do the ball joints make sure you get the Hill Engineering ones......The OEM ones are rubbish.....I think Risso308 just advertised some....
The good thing is the car is still young enough to access its dealer service history.....You can order a service book from Maranello and then do the rounds of the dealers that serviced it to stamp it and get copy's of receipts etc......It's a bit of work but worth doing...
Not sure what brand they were, but not OEM. My mechanic told me the OEM's are chrome plated and the plating comes off. He used stainless steel ones
Interesting! How does one go about ordering a new book from Maranello or get the dealer service history? Is it via the local dealer?
You would have to find out the service history of the car.....Once you have assetained that you would then have to get a copy of records off the computer and ask the dealer who serviced it to stamp the new logbook. The new log books are not the same as the original so it will always be an issue when you come to sell it.
