That's pretty much it. 4 rims preferred, but if you have an individual rim, Carl or I would be happy to hear from you. I am based in Melbourne.
Carl is well known to the Ferrari community in Melbourne and I suspect as a result, also to the local Ferrari Chatters. I know some owners might not be motivated to sell their old rims to someone unknown on FC. Perhaps though they might with a contact who has owned and worked on 308s for decades.
I am just striving for originality. When I first saw this car, I did not actually like the rims. Now they have sort of grown on me. But I would still like to have the car "as it left the factory floor". It might take a couple of years. And I am still very happy with what I have. The engine is currently out of the car and the back end is going to be tidied up, with anything old and worn replaced, which will take a month. But every improvement to the car brings it closer to the way it was. That e TRX discussion, well, it's been done to death, so I won't go there. But that is what the car came with.
With a set of TRXs on it, to match the original spare, and the SF decals removed, it will be as it should be. As it rolled off the factory floor.Including the original paint. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, people try to close the bonnet without pushing the little button. It nearly happened to mine at a national concourse when a judge went to close mine; everyone looked when I screamed “stop”. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
Huge turn-out, great roads, only 1 or 2 hold-ups due to slow cars, but send them down one dirt road...
Ah, okay. I actually have not noticed it. It does look more pronounced in the photo, at that angle, than it otherwise does. The car is on the hoist this week but when it comes down, I will have a closer look. The thought of a judge forcing it closed at a concourse? Oh my!
