I am curious to see what is out there that is a project. I just sold my 82 Gtbi and my 79 930 and I'm looking for a new project. Most likely something from the 70's to mid 2000's would be what I'm looking for. early 70's and later, I probably can't justify the purchase price for one of them early cars although Id love a 250 PF coupe. So anything really, failed project that is sitting. Mechanically broken, accident, don't have the money to fix it. Id love to see anything that is out there and is for sale or maybe the owner would sell if we get talking. Even if I don't buy it maybe someone else her will. but my thread I call first dibs When values start rising the project cars come out of hiding. Id love a Testarossa, 348, 355, or a 430
Ferrari of Houston has several disassembled 355's in their back lot, and I'm sure they'd part with any of them.
Hardly a project, I can find complete 400's with a body engine and so much more For way less that to make that a car again. haha I don't need help looking at ebay thats easy, More like someone finds one on Craigslist of local market advertisment, and I really am interested more in those cars sitting in the back of the shop, Covered in dust and torn apart just needing to be saved. It all depends on the model and how much work and $$$. See the photo, a 308 a friend found in a body shop years ago. Missed out on it though I think it sold for like 18K in 2008. Those are what I am looking for. I know they are out there. 2NA heard anything about that Testarossa with the wrecked nose lately? Image Unavailable, Please Login

I know how to search craigslist too. Ok a project with all its main parts how about that, Im looking to make money not be upside down! I love the smart assess
Go for it. There was a complete one at beverlyhillscarclub until this afternoon, a 82 400 but it was all there for 17K and its sat and sat, That guy will never sell that frame for 7K even if it was free you wouldn't be able to do it.
Or this place Wrecked Cars For Sale - Salvage Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles For Sale - Repairable Used Cars
To bad that website is just a collection of photos, they don't have any of those cars, that's a fact.
You know what you want...you know what you want to pay...you know how to search. Sounds like you don't need any help here
Yeah I'm was kinda hoping to get leads on the one that dusty car, with the blown engine or trans, maybe wrecked and parked for years, that one that hasn't been for sale, the one someone might now of but according to you guys this is impossible But it's cool you all know best. I shouldn't ask anyone here anyway, most people would most likely buy anything they could just to flip for quick cash. Had it happen before. When I was looking for a Countach I posted Id be interested in a project car, a guy on fchat told me he might now of one, long story short he found it and bought it, funny he wasn't looking for one... Then a month later he tried to flip it to me for $50,000 profit he told me what he paid did he really think he piled a fast one? How slick of him... That was in 2008. He did it just to Make a quick buck. I am so happy they have now gone to half a mill and he really missed out on all that cash. So **** it you guys are right. why ask since I know how to use the searches just like anyone else. That should be enough right? every ferrari project that's out there is on the internet right... Or maybe I'm trying to gather Intel from people that might now of one that's hiding under a layer of dust and can pass me info, Maybe its fun for me to hunt them down to. The vultures are circling!
No, you posted asking for recommendations then ***** on anyone who posted a recommendation. Not sure what you expected.
anyone else want to tell me what I am doing wrong?? Can't I be sarcastic with people? The one guy posted that 308 just for grins. It was funny. jesus
I suspect that quite a few members of this forum are looking for the same thing you are. I know you'd prefer a F-car, but how about a Biturbo that hasn't run for twenty years? http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/4985780538.html Yeah, thought not.
You are correct on both counts. I know this, I know people are ready to snatch up anything that comes along, there is a buyer for almost every ferrari. If most of the car is there it will sell eventually.
