Michael, I recall seeing this car about 4 years ago at a local dealer: San Francisco Sportscars. It’s a very unique spec. I don’t have any info on its current whereabouts, but give them a call - they may be able to tell you where it went from there.

Thinking of getting her back? If so, good luck, keep us posted!

    Carbon…..yummmmmm!

I haven’t gone through the registry in Nathan’s book to try and figure out how many 550’s had the carbon package but it feels insanely rare.

Oh one suggestion also could be to run a car fax on it, might tell you at least what state it’s registered in?

I lost interest in it. I was in the process of going through the car and getting estimates to correct some items and get PPI, then to my surprise it went on BaT. The highest bid plus costs to address the already known issues I had found to bring it to my requirements were too high. No regrets. Gated 575M has been perfect!

Hi Michael. Nice car! I have had a 550 for about 8 years now. Just out of curiosity, how was your new 550 working in hot Ft. Lauderdale when it sas brand new? I have been driving around a lot in South Florida. I just can’t understand that the 550 was working well in that heat and those entry/exits out from the gas stations (steep curbes). Best of luck with the car!

Thanks for the reply. What was wrong with the car when you were looking at it?

Never had an issue, heat or gas station wise. Maybe up in palm beach we have lower entry to gas stations. Thanks,

From my notes: Major service (many years overdue for belts and fluids), the leather on the dash, passenger airbag cover, and instrument pod needs to be recovered due to significant shrinkage, the rear glass has a good size chip in it, tires from 2005, and there is a ding on the fender near the fuel filler.
