    Dear Chatters,

    A 365 GT4 2+2 owner want to change the front of his 365 GT4 2+2.
I haven't the good words to explain but you know some of the 365 GT4 have a 400 front, certainly after a damage.
I 'm talking about the parts under the front bumper : the specific metallic grille and the plastic parts with, without the 400 spoiler of course. You know what I mean ?

Is there a way to find those parts new or "second-hand" ? Or a way to re-make them ?

    Thanks for your coming replies.

For the grill itself, I wouldn't blink at making one out of aluminum. For the spoiler, I think these are available still. the last thing I'd suggest is customizing anything that didn't look right...Lee

i'm not sure that i understand...

but if he wants a 400/400i front spoiler, i've got 2 of them...and would happily trade the best one i have for his 365 spoiler.

perhaps you could propose that to him ?

As you are probably aware, the front undertray he is talking about,is made of fibreglass and is not actually a spoiler as in the 400 series.
It is more rounded in shape and as I understand 'unobtainium'
Unfortunately mine needs a replacement as well.

    Tom,

Are either salvagable (practically)? My 330 is almost done and I need something else to torture myself with.

    Regards,

Also, there was a 365 body/chassis recently for sale (on ebay, I think). It was red. What happened to it?

    Regards,

i know you're a 'seasoned vet' Art, but i strongly recommend against using a peice meal approach to resurrecting a 365 GT4...
better to start with a complete car, regardless of condition, as reaquiring any missing parts would be both frustrating and expensive.
any money would be better spent improving a car that is all there to begin with, imho.

    Brett,

What makes you think that Tom's cars are already incomplete ;)

I have the grill and lower valance off of mine right now. I have a fellow that would make an exact repro of the grill and we could probably do a fiberglass repro of the lower valance. if you are interested and not in a hurry let me know.

Rick, that could be a good idea to have some made. Mine is ok, but I have done quite a bit of fiberglass work on it. I wonder what a new one would cost?
