When I lost a key for my F430 last year, I had to buy the Key Code card and the Key + an hour labor for programming. Total was in the $1K range. -and yes, be prepared to take title to car. Both (old and new) keys will need to be programmed to a new security setting for the car. Hint: check Both keys before driving away. When this was done for me, my old key did not work, and I had to go back a few times to fix it. No extra charge, but a hassle and a waste of time.

Also, the keys are pretty hardy; the wifey washed and dried one of them ( high heat) while doing laundry. I just took the key apart, wiped the electronics with isopropyl alcohol and let it air dry. I replaced the battery, and all was good.
